I have not yet begun to use my copper peptides, because I am still getting my skin reacclimated to the glycolic acid lotions. I have now just reintroduced Renova (.05% tretinoin) and am alternating this night-by-night with the glycolic. SkinCeuticals Ferulic C E is applied every third morning. (I do know to space this way out from copper peptides!) With the exception of Vitamin C serums, I like to stick with nighttime applications. Sunscreen is enough of a chore post-shower. Neutral

My question is: on an evening when one is applying both a prescription retinoid or glycolic acid and a copper peptide, which should come first? I have read opposing suggested regimes from two businesses selling copper peptides: one suggesting copper peptides 30 minutes to Retin-A or glycolic, and the other vice-versa. Question I'd love to hear your suggestions!

P.S: For those interested in the pH for the Gly Derm Lotion Plus 10% for Normal Skin, I tested this lotion four times in a row (using 2 different brands of pH strips, twice each), and got a pH of 1 every time. Seems prettylow, and I have to wonder whether both brands of pH strips are accurate. After all, the pH levels on both strips are graduated by of 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on, and lack "half-points" of 1.5, 2.5, etc.) Pretty decent glycolic lotion for such a low price.

Gly Derm is an unbuffered acid. Free Acid at 10%. I used to use copper peptides and at night I used to use the peptide first and then the glycolic. I use Retin A now so if I was to use the three, I would use the glycolic first to aid penetration of the Retin A so put that on right after (no waiting unless your skin gets irritated from it right away) Then I would wait 30 min to 1 hour and put on the CP.

This particular Gly Derm Lotion Plus 10% for Normal Skin is indeed unbuffered, but other Gly Derm lotions are buffered - as some contain mineral oil, and glycolic acid isn't listed until the fifth ingredient in some cases. (Even though the percentage is still cited as 10%.) This is why I always have to keep an eagle eye on ingredients, because it can get somewhat confusing since the names of the many 10% Gly Derm Lotions are almost identical. (As with MD Forté, there is no "glycolic acid solution" asterisk for certain lotions/creams - GlyDerm simply cites a product as "10%" or "12%" regardless of whether it's buffered.)

The GlyDerm & other brands of glycolic creams which contain 10-12%, I suspect, have an even lower pH than the 10% buffered Gly Derm lotions. But I cannot be sure, as my two brands of pH strips do not get any color changes from testing something which isn't in runny or liquid form. There is no post-application tingle for me with most of these glycolic creams, and they just feel a bit ... weak. At any rate, I'm using up my glycolic creams and will stick with lotions/serums from now on!

Thanks so much for the tips on copper peptide serum. Does anybody use these serums in conjunction with glycolic acids, Vitamin C serums, and prescription retinoids? I have read about the synergistic properties of using prescription retinoids in conjunction with copper peptides and find this information rather intriguing.

I use all of those actives Sheila. I apply my CP in the morning and my Vit. C in the evening, then right before bed I put on my Retin A or glycolic. I use the retin A most nights but a couple times a week I skip it and use glycolic acid cream instead.
I don't know if that's the correct way of doing it but it seems to work for me.
