I found this site by accident, and was so happy when I did! It's rather embarrassing because I am 40, but have yet to really start a skin care routine. My biggest problem is under eye wrinkles and puffiness. What would you all recommend that I start with? My skin would be more on the dry side if anything. Any suggesstions would be greatly appreciated!! [/i]

Oh the puffies. Bad Grin

What needs to be determined are the puffies just fluid retention, allergies or FAT Deposits? If they are fat deposits there is really not much you can do. I have fat deposits under my eyes (bags). There are several things I do to keep them firm (I am much older than 40). The Fat deposits are much firmer since I have been taking care of them (not as noticable and don't sag Rolling Eyes )

The good news for you is you are young enough to see great results in your skin by following a good skin care program.

I would suggest that you start by using a good Vitamin C Serum and Suncreen. You say your skin is dry??? For dry skin I would either recommend Janson-Becketts C&C or CellularSkin RX C. Vit. C Serum is amazing with great restorative qualities (personal observations). Drink at least 8 ... 8 oz. glasses of water a day.

After you let us know more about what is going on with your eyes surely you will get a lot of good advice as far as eye creams.

Take it slow in the beginning. Products can be expensive. By getting a few things at a time you see what is working for you. You don't want to get overwhelmed or go broke. Wink

Dont know about this helping with puffiness but I LOVE Beta Alistine Rocket Science eye cream. After 6 months use I've noticed when I smile the skin around my eys dosent crease up so much anymore.I've still got the fine lines but the skin feels tighter.
I've heard Clarins beauty flash balm for eyes is good for puffiness but i havent tried it nt having that problem.

Thanks so much for your input. My puffiness is probably due more to lack of sleep than anything else. I have noticed that when I eat certain foods at night(mexican, chineses, pasta) that they tend to be worse, so maybe it's allergies too.

Sounds to me like you are retaining fluid. Be sure to drink up that water. Lucky you!!! Puffiness due to lack of sleep and fluid retention is easy to deal with. Adjusting your diet and drinking water should help. Do start using Vit. C and a sunscreen. Smile

Cellcosmet Eye Cream gets rave reviews on this forum. It really should hydrate your eye area. It is too bad you missed out on Janson Becketts free offer for DermaExcel7. If you want wrinkles to deminish before your eyes DE7 is amazing. Both of the above products are expensive put should last a very long time. If you want to try a homemade receipt: I have used PURE Avocado Oil around my Orbital bone. Avocado Oil is very light and if you only use a tad it sinks right in. I also use Avocado Oil on my lips (when I remember Embarassed ).

Keep in touch.

Good point about retaining water and the allergies. I have chronic allergies and some days when they aren't so bad, I find that my undereye area looks heaps better. On other days, I keep it under control using Eye Bright, Nivea CoQ10 eye cream and some Touche Eclat to make the whole area look brighter and more rested.
