Hello! I LOVE the idea of mineral make-up, but the powdered stuff is too drying for me! 
I tried Jane Iredale's Liquid Minerals, but it was way too thick for me and the colors seemed really yellowish.
Can anyone suggest another liquid mineral line, where the make-up is sheer (not heavy), and the colors are more like skin-tone?

Hi Girlzmommie,
Maybe you tried the wrong line. I recommend not going back to liquid until you try another powder version. The right one won't dry out your skin and it will look more natural than liquid foundation.
Mineral Powders have become very popular in the past 8 years...and for good reason. The first generation powders were made completely of the most natural, non-irritating ingredients in the market. They provide great coverage, are not drying and feel like your skin only smoother.
However, some of the newer generation minerals - trying to save money - have included ingredients like talc, aluminum, chemical sunscreens, other irritants and potentially un-safe ingredients. I advise you to check the labels carefully before choosing a mineral powder make-up for your face.

Thanks for getting back to me!!
Actually, powders in general, when I apply them directly to my face without any type of foundation underneath, tend to dry me out and cause lots of lines under my eyes. That's why I'm hoping to explore liquid minerals, because I really like the concept of minerals, just not the "dryness" of them.
I was hoping to hear from people who have tried the liquid minerals other than Iredale's. Anyone out there try anything besides Jane's? |

| You might want to try Illuminare liquid mineral foundation (www.illuminarecosmetics.com). From what I hear it is EXTREMELY gentle foundation, and contains very good ingredients..all natural and good coverage. I've never tried it but I'd love to hear results from someone who has! |
