As a new IS Clinical user, I have two questions:

1) How much of the serums do you apply? On the packaging of my active serum it says just to apply 2-3 drops but I never feel as if I am applying it to my whole face using that amount. Is there any disadvantage to using more? (except for the $$$$$) I am using a sample of the proheal and I use a few drops - again - it never feels like enough. How long do/did the sample sizes last for all of you? How about the HydraCool? I find one pump sufficient to smooth over my face - is that enough?

2) How long did it take before you started noticing results?

Hi Lela, In the sample size (which I still refill for traveling), I use a full dropper or pretty close. In the full size, I use about 5 drops for each item. I know what you mean about not having enough to spread on your face. I started to believe I was the only person in the world with a giant face! Very Happy

For they Hydacool, I don't use it so I'm no help. I use the Moisture Complex and ADORE that stuff.

I just use ab out 5 drops and that does my face and neck area sometimes my chest if I spread carefully. I use 1 pump of hydra and it goes a long way.

Hi All,

I am a recent IS Clinical convert and have a question for Alexis52. I am using the Active Serum and Pro Heal at night, while I love the results I wake up with skin that is too taut for comfort. I am considering buying the moisturizing complex and would like to know a bit more about the texture and how it compares to other lotions and/or creams.
I see so much press about all of the IS Clinical productes except this one.

Also: I saw IS Clinical does have a sunblock range for sale on kalologie.com, anyone tried this?

Thanks!

Hello Annapurna,
I am no expert in IS Clinical but I thought ProHeal is suppose to be used during the day. Its possible that because you use both at night and its drying your skin a bit. Definately need a mositurizer after the Active Serum.

Obviously I don't find the ISC product names very intuitive... I meant to write I am using the active serum followed by the hydracool. I am using the proheal in the morning as a replacement to my usual vit C serum. It may be psychological, I am so used to applying a night cream that the 2 serums don't feel the same in terms of moisture/creating a barrier.

YEs, I have had 3 or 4 different skin care analysis places tell me pro-heal a.m., and active at night, only thing to be followed/layered by is the poly-vit or hydra cool. Both pro-heal and active contain retinols.

Hi Annapurna, The Moisture Complex varies a bit from batch to batch according to ISC because of the natural ingredients. The first one I had felt heavy going on but it absorbed quickly. The "new" one I have now is very light and absorbs quickly also. I love this stuff! Hydrates beautifully! The results of both batches is the same but definitely feels different when applying.

I'm not a fan of the HydraCool so I use the MComplex sparingly in the am and then in the pm. I have medium oily skin and I don't get oilier, actually my oil production is less.

Like WildCat said, you shouldn't be using both ProHeal and Active in the pm. Too many actives. I was told to use the Super in the am, or the ProHeal in the am, or alternate days. Only one active at a time.

At night you use the Active. The only two actives that can be used together are Active and Firming Complex. I'm older (55) and using those two at night made a huge difference.

So that's the ISC recommended regime. Of course, you're free to experiment and do your own thing!

Annie, My post was so long I missed the 3 posts before it! It's recommended to use Active followed by Poly-Vit at night? Oohhhhh, I may have to try that too!

I quess the question is more about Moisture Complex. It's wonderful! Get a sample; you won't be sorry. I don't like the feel of Hydra-Cool and was told Moisture Complex was fine to use both am/pm instead. I love it!

Thanks you guys! I have decided I will be purchase the Moisture Complex. I am visiting my parents in Colorado in two weeks and I think I will need the extra moisture, especially in the mountains...after a 9 hour flight...yikes! crocodile skin alert!

Does anybody use the moisture complex over the hydra cool? I was using the moisture complex over pro heal in the morning and the hydra cool over the active serum at night. I am in a very dry climate right now so a few days ago I started using the moisture complex on top of active serum/hydra cool at night. Is this just too much - should I choose one or the other?

Unfortunately, I have not had the same results as everybody else seems to have with these products - the magic of IS Clinical is just not working for me. Sad I will finish my products but likely not reorder. I have been using the products for around two months so I figure that if I am going to see results I would have seen them already, is that true?

Lela, Different strokes and all that. You should see a difference after a week of using ISC, IMHO. Guess it's time to give it up.

If it makes you feel any better, NOTHING else that I've tried (TONS of skincare lines) has worked wonders for my skin.

Yours is still out there. Smile

Lela: Make sure you're not using too much product. I made that mistake at first and thought my skin looked worse and then I stopped using so much and I am really liking the results now.

As with some of the other people here I am not that crazy about the hydra cool but what I do is MIX it with the moisture complex in my hand and then put it on my face. It does made my face SO smooth.

To answer your question I know you can use the moisture complex on top of the hydra cool if you need extra moisture. When the weather turned dryer here that is what I did (before starting to mix them together).

Thanks lily!

How much is too much? I have heard different things from different people. The woman at theskincareinstitute told me to use half a dropper - which seems like a lot - but that is what I have been using. Maybe that is the problem... Confused

I know AnnieR and Alexis52 both said they use around five drops...I think I will cut down to five drops...

You could also try using the hydracool after the proheal in the am because it is lighter, and try the moisture complex after the active at night because it is stronger and see if that helps. I saw visble results starting the first day and continuing to get better every day. Now I still have skin turnover and all every month due to hormone fluctuations but for the most part it stays constant. I also use carekate's ACV toner recipe after cetaphil and the Dr H CC for exfoliation and I think that also helps the glow. Anything off the routine or stronger and my skin freaks out. I still try samples from time to time but always come back to these tried and true.

Another question. Katee says she uses Skinceuticals Retinol in conjunction with the ISC products. I'm wondering if she applies it after other actives, or alone with moisture.

Does anyone else add the retinol to the ISC regime?

To answer Lexy's question, I use Skinceuticals Retinol 1.0 like every third night to spot treat. I use it under my eyes and along my nasolabial creases, after I apply Active Serum, and before I apply Hydra Cool.

I also apply IS Clinical Eye Firming Complex on top of it.

I should mention that I have very resilient (as well as oily) skin. I've said it before but this is VERY strong stuff. It's also very effective though. I hated the way the skin looked under my eyes before I started with this stuff. I didn't have wrinkles but my skin was starting to faintly resemble chicken skin (I don't know how else to describe it). I'm not sure if the issue was milia or not. I do know that some of my aunts have it and I've always HATED it. The current combination of ingredients erased it completely, and the skin under my eyes is uber smooth and tight now.

When I first started the routine, I need a little more moisture under my eyes, so in the am, instead of my usual IS Clinical Eye Firming cream, I was using a Cellcosmet sample that I had. But, now, I'm back to using my ISC eye product twice a day.

Do your IS Clinical products come sealed boxes or bottles?

Thanks.

My creams in boxes were not sealed. The serums had shrink wrap on them but not on the outside of the box.

Did the retinol under your eyes make you peel at first? I have something like that there, and now that you mention it, chicken skin sort of sums it up.

I didn't peel, but I felt like I had a sunburn or something. My skin appeared a little bit red at first, but that was easy enough to soothe with moisturizer. I never experienced anything that I would classify as "the uglies."
