What would be a good peel or treatment to do that is aggressive in getting rid of white scars on arms and back?

Hi naturallyhappy. I too am interested in scar treatments as I have quite horrid ones. What do you mean by "white scars"?

i'm not sure what sort of scars you guys are talking about - probably acne scars - but my dad has just had triple bypass heart surgery and has big surgery scars on his chest, arm and leg. he's using something called 'mebo scar lotion' (or similar) which is based on chinese medicine and is doing an INCREDIBLE job of healing up the scars.

hth someone anyway!

Not acne scars, I have scars from the accident that are quite large and white and ugly. Where does you dad get it from?

I have heard very mixed reviews on the silicone sheets that are supposed to slowly get rid of scars...I am curious about stretch marks. Any suggestions?

he just got it from a chemist. it smells a bit like sesame as it has sesame oil in it but the results are really amazing. i'd give it a go!
apparently it works to increase the blood flow so when he puts it on the scar gets all red and looks weird but after a while that goes away and the mebo does it's stuff.
it comes in a tube that's inside a box. check this out for a pic
https://www.centrepharmacy.co.nz/products.asp?productID=1708

this is from healthchemist.co.nz:

"Active Ingredients Mebo restore contains Cactus extracts, Extract of Cortex phellodendri, Sesame Oil and beeswax. Dosage On newly healed Scarred Skin apply Mebo restore to the scarred area 3 to 4 times daily for 2 to 3 days. You may observe the scar turn form dark red to light red or see wrinkle appear. This is normal. Continue application until the skin becomes soft and smooth. For more serious Scarring is possible wash the affected area with warm water daily. Apply mebo as above. On older Scarring, gently massage the area with the finger for 5 to 10 minutes. Do not massage newly healed wounds. Continue Mebo restore until the skin becomes soft and smooth and skin pigmentation is restored. this may take up to a year. Purpose mebo restore Ointment is a naturally based Ointment which helps return elasticity to damaged skin and fades Scars and Blemishes. It also protects newly healed skin. yeah, let me know how you get on. i've been amazed at the scars on my dad, but his were fresh, we may need to be a little more patient for old scars.
good luck though!!! i'll have my fingers crossed!

the scars im talking about are from scratching eczema and allergy rashes. Not for me, but for a friend. She has freckles and it really shows on her skin. i was looking for more a peel than an everyday treatment. she has been trying that for awhile and some of them cause another allergic reaction. someone said a tca peel, but that is maybe a little to harsh...i dunno...thanks for your posts!
