I have been using Decleor Prolagene Energising Gel as a skin firmer on the whole face including the eye area, neck and decolote. I have been using it for about 3 weeks so far and I have seen fantastic results my skin is visibly smoother and lifted and my skin tone has improved the fine lines around my eyes have been reduced I am amazed that introducing just one product to my routine has made so much difference
I use it twice a day morning and evening either mixed with a mask or under my normal day or night cream, on top of my decleor oil in the morning or the balm in the evening brilliant I would not be with out it now its a must for me IMO and so cost effective I think the tube will last me at least 7 months |

Is the original poster using the small, facial size, or the more economical body size? Does it make a difference with the ingredients? |

I've always been led to believe that it is the same product. Personally, I always buy the body size as the facial size is ridiculously priced considering the amount of product you get. |

Prolagene Gel is excellent. I've been using it about 3 weeks now on the face, neck, eye and chest area. I use it over the Iris oil and mix it with my vitaroma in the day and at night mix it sometimes with my vitaroma mask or night cream.
I do like the Gatineau throat gel, but I think prolagene is better.
It really is a must have product! |

That's a very good question...I didn't even realize they made it as a body gel.
Does anyone know if there is / what the difference is between these two products? |

There is no difference in the product itself, just the size of the tube. It is more economical to buy the body gel. |

Oh... I feel cheated! By Decleor. You don't sell the same product as a face gel and a body gel, at different prices - that's insinuating that they are different when in fact they are not.
Well, at least I know now - and will get the big size next time...if I've gotten over the feeling of being cheated and forgiven Decleor Thanx for enlightening me Toe

The benefits I've seen: really helps clear up painful spots that haven't / won't surface but are just lumps of pain on my jawline and cheeks. They visibly shrink from day to day.
I think it's the combination of neroli and the gel that does it. Haven't seen any fine lines dissapearing yet though, but am thinking my "trouble" wrinkles on my forehead might need something stronger... |

Prolagene is fab for acne scarring too, although it can take a few months to work. |

I've almost finnished off my first tube of prolagene, and I've ordered another - the bigger size this time (and they actually have a great offer on strawberrynet right now, feel sort of bad ordering from another company - but shipping is free and I don't need/can't afford a big beauty shoppingspree at EDS this month).
After useing the prolagene for about 2 months this is what I have found:
- it smoothes my skin beautifully
- it helps hydrate my skin, at night my skin feels more satisfied than it did before - sort of well replenished
- skin is more radiant when I wake in the morning and very soft
- I haven't noticed it helping fade red marks unfortunately, if it does it isn't as speedy as one could wish for.
I like that it sinks in quickly as well, and that there is no greasy feeling as there can be with a regular moisturizer.
I think my boyfriend appreciates that it isn't very scented, he was getting bored with the eternal essential balm scent - I haven't been useing the balm as religiously lately, I just don't seem to be needing it as much lately... |

Is there really no difference between the facial and body version? As our body is usually less sensitive than our face, wouldn't using the body version on the face be more likely to irritate and cause breakouts? |

There's no difference. It's the same in different sizes. |

I have no idea. I have been using for a couple weeks hoping to fade some red marks on my forehead, but I didn't see any difference it has made. |

From my experience with this gel, I reckon that it works best if apply to half dried acne i.e. where there is no more puss (sorry if I don't express it that well in acne term ). This gel really works to speed up the drying and a peel will form which if falls off will leave a red mark. Then keep applying the gel will help the mark to fade.
Follow up with some peeling mask (I used PSF pumpkin) help to fade the remaining mark.
I did the above with a recent very bad cystic acne on my chin. One week into the above method, there is hardly any mark left. I could not be more pleased. |
