Hi all, I´m a newbie though I´ve been lurking for a while.
I started a new skincare regieme a few weeks ago, using MDFormulatons glycolic cleanser and facial lotion, and the Decleor Arome purete series,- and my skin has really improved. (For sunscreen I use Dermalogica sheer tint)
I had my first MDF glycolic peel yesterday, and what a difference it has made! My skin, usually dry with breakouts, is baby smooth with just a few blackheads left.
I do have some scars though, and I´m wondering if the peels will take care of these, or if I need additional products?
Cheers |

I imagine it would depend how deep the scar tissue is. |

congratulations on your new rutine and the lovely results!
I've been through the same procedure/rutine as you, but with mixed results regarding the glycolic peel - experienced a few breakouts, but I think that had more to do with my mixed up hormones than the actual products. Am using the same cleanser and have used the facial lotion (finished now and although I really thought it was good I don't want to pay the hefty price). What's the Arome puretée series like? I use the Harmonie cream, neroli oil, prolagene gel and an essential balm... Looooove the scent and feel totally decleor addicted! |

hey sharkbait.
I was intrigued by the fact the peel worked so quickly on you skin.Do you have very open pores? Has it reduced the size of your pores?
Over the last 4 months I have had 12 glycolic peels 50 %. It has made my skin very smooth but I still have the same amount of blackheads as before. They are just drawn closer to the surface.
I cleanse with mdf facial cleanser and tone with mdf facial lotion, moisturise with babor pure day/night.(I have jused these products for six months)
Let me know if you have additional peels..
I might be giving up on mdf all together.
My skin is normal some whiteheads, i have blackheads in t-zone. My pores are very deep/closed in t-zone and open/big on cheeks. |

Hi all.
I´ve had four peels so far, and it really has helped. At first, I thought that the Decleor line helped, but when the rest of the MDF line piqued my interest, I started the following regieme:
AM
Facial wash
Facial lotion
Hydrating gel
Tinted sunscreen spf30
Dermalogica total eye care (I´m awaiting the antioxidant MDF eye cream)
PM
Facial wash
Night recovery
Clearing complex
Hydrating gel
Vit A plus eye cream
I use the firming mask once a week, and the repair creme if I get dry after the peels.
With the weekly peels, this has done absolute wonders for my skin! I´ve stopped using Dermalogica and Decleor alltogether now.
I now have supple, moist skin, without breakouts, the milia has gone, thanks to the eye cream, and there is virtually no blackheads left. I have one frownline between my eyes, which I´m spot treating with the anti aging lotion.
And to tp it all of, m formerly itchy, flaky, breakout prone scalp, har normalized thanks to Carekates tip of adding ACV to my shampoo.
I don´t need foundation anymore, I find the tinted sunscreen to be enough. I do use a bit of BE around my nose, if it gets red. The only thing left is my dark circles, and though I can see some improvement, I´ve orderes a sample of the PTR vit K eye cream, to see if it helps.
Sorry, this got quite long. |

sharkbait, thanks for you replay.
Seeing as you have had great results so quickly makes me convinced mdf is wasted on me. I have spendt a lot of §§§, time and effort which is just pointless.
Will try some of the DIYs for a while and see how they work out. |

Sharkbait, just wanted to ask how long you did the peels for and how you're skin is holding up after the series. And are you still useing mostly MDF or have you started on other products?
I've used MDF's antioxidant serum, which has the consistency of a light cream. I got a generous sample from EDS a while back and must say that the serum is really really good. Moisturizing, light, healing and non-comedogenic, and my boyfriend has asked on several occasions if I've been to a solarium - which I hadn't - coz my face looked fresher and more vibrant...
The serum is a bit pricy, so I've got PSFs antioxidant Day Cream instead which I've just started useing. Gonna give it a while to see how it holds up compared to MDFs...

Ruth, I did four or five peels, and then my skin was calmed down. I did continue to use MDF for a while, but was tempted by PSF and didn´t repurchase. Also, I wouldn´t use the glycolics during summer, as I don´t trust sunscreen to completely protect my skin.
My skin has behaved fairly well ever since, but being sensitive to almost all sunscreens has make me break out a bit this spring. Using lavender and tea tree EOs has balanced it out though. I think MDF are great products, but for the time being, I´ll stick to homemade products and PSF.
HTH! |
