Hi
I got the Lush tea tree water but this just feels like I'm wiping water over my face.I want to add tea tree oil to this but was wondering if it would mix in well or would I need to add some solubiliser(spelling  )Do essential oils mix well with water?

Hi Carol:
I used to make body sprays, that had water and oil, I used polysorbate 20. I don't know if this is something you would want to spray on your face:
Polysorbate 20 - Polysorbate 20 is commonly used to emulsify oils and water at a 1:1 ratio. It is a nonionic surfactant that is water-soluble and used as a dispersing agent. It is gentle and nonirritating. Normally, you need a solubilizer, such as Polysorbate 20, to mix your essential or fragrance oils into body sprays without separating. Combine equal amounts of your fragrance or essential oil and the Polysorbate 20 until you achieve a clear solution, then, add this mixture to your water or alcohol.

| you could add a few drops but you must make sure you vigoursly shake the bottle every time you use it. |

I got a bottle that just said solubiliser on the bottle for dissolving essential oils in water.It was amongst all the essential oils in the chemist.
It said for dissolving oils in water for when taking a bath.I guess this would be okay for a face product,do you think?
