the lady who used to do my facials and got me into Decleor once told me to put a blob of toothpaste over night on top of a big spot I had - suppose it's supposed to dry out the spot.
If you have a function tomorrow - you'll probably have to cover it up whatever you do. In my experience a flared up pimple doesn't dissapear over night...unfortunately.

Hope your spot calms down and that you have a nice time tomorrow!

Dab on some Tee Tree or Lavender Essential Oil.
Ruth is right it is not going to be gone tomorrow so look for some good concealer and enjoy the function Smile

Agree with above. There are no quick fixes. In the meantime a bit of a yellowish concealer will hid the redness somewhat.

I agree with above, it is not going to go away overnight. I don't know about the toothpaste, but my friend put some loose powder or baby powder on top of it. She convinced that it works and pimple suppose to dry out. Just don't squeeze it anymore. As for a concealer I would use green one, it works better with red spots.
Good luck

Back when we were in high school and thought that pimples were just the worst (not that they still aren't), my best friend put a little bandaid over a particularly bad one of hers for prom and told everyone that her baby brother had scratched her.

Everyone fell for it.

Just a thought.

You could also say that you had a mole removed, or something. Sure, a bandaid is distracting... but maybe less stigmatized than even a concealer-covered zit.

I find Decleor's essential balm really seems to clear up my skin virtually overnight. I use it for about 2 weeks a month just before/during/after that time of the month.
Tea tree oil is also good, The Body Shop sells a stick that you can just dab on.
I wouldn't use the toothpaste trick...I find it does dry it out and but then you have a big huge dry patch which is harder to cover Laughing

People who use the Essential Balm... do you have oily/acne-prone skin? It's just SO greasy feeling, I can't get over the fear of a tremendous breakout from using it Shock

I have combo skin and the essential balm actually dries skin up a bit. I can't use it every night.
The texture of all Decleor's balm might feel oily but they are wonderful. You should request a sample and try it out. Smile

Your supposed to use VERY little, actually the amount is rediculously small - like maximum this amount OO ( Smile ) and it's important to heat it between your fingers to emulsify it before applying "in sweeping strokes"...

The one time my facial lady told me to put toothpaste on a spot was when I had a big old painful pimple she had taken care of but it was obvious it was going to fill up terribly again. I don't think it's a remedy that should be used unless you have a spot that really needs drying out...and just a minute bit of paste on the actual spot, not more!

Edited to say: it's actually more like this amount O of essential balm Wink

Do we use the essential balm alone or apply it after the aromaessence? Smile

My sister would agree with you on this, though it was my ylang-ylang balm that she used instead of the essential balm you mentioned. It was pretty much a pleasant surprise to see a zit flatten and disappear within hours! A flat red surface is way easier to hide that a bump.

the balm comes after an aromessence... Smile

edited 7th dec to say:
you need the aromaessence to go on first as a sort of primer for the balm...it goes on smoother and sinks in better, one of the reasons you need so little. If you use too much you are likely to get greasy and probably break out Shock which isn't what we want is it Wink

When I get really big flare up's that you can clearly see, nothing wants to come out of them, I soak a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol with salt. The solution seems to draw out whatever wants to come out, or if it is on of those flare up's that you never seem to get anything out of~this solution dries them up.

ouch i hate those big flare up pimples. It wont go away over nite watever u do. And do not pick at it, it will just get more irritated. what i do is put my face under some sorta steamer. The hot steam will clear out our pores and take out impurities, also it will take your pimple closer to the surface. Aftre steaming your face, dab some rubbing alchohol on your pimple and dab any sort of zit cream or if u dont have any, use some toothpaste.
I hate those pimples
