Hi guys. I apologize for running onto the forum every time I get a pimple, but when I ask my mother what to do, she just says to leave it alone.
In the past couple of days, I got 3 big pimples (not to mention the little ones all over my face). My chin and mouth area has always been more prone to breaking out. I have one pimple on the bottom of my chin and one right above my lip. I also have one on my cheek that had been gradually getting bigger. This one came slowly because I get blackheads on my cheeks and this one took a long time to surface. Getting blackheads on my cheeks is a pretty new occurence.
Annnnnnyway..
Last night, I tried to draw the dirt up to the surface on all three pimples. I did this by wetting a Q-tip in hot water and then just holding it gently against the pimple. The water wasn't really that hot so what I did (this is kind of weird, but it worked) was that I put the tip of the wet Q-tip on my hair straightener. The water heated and then I put it directly on the pimple. I repeated this about three to five times on each pimple.
Then I applied Clean & Clear 4% salycic acid treatment to all three pimples.
This morning, the one on the bottom of my chin and the one on my cheek were different. They looked like they had sort of opened up. The areas are still very very red. They looked like they had a yellowish film over them. There isn't really any pressure on those two pimples though, so that's a plus.
The one above my lip turned into a giant white head, which I poked and prodded but DIDN'T pop. Yay for me! I cleaned it and put more salycic acid treatment on it today.
As for the other two, I cleaned them with Purpose soap and then put Neosporin on them because they seem to be "open" and susceptible to junk.
So, am I doing things right? Or did I just do all that only to make it worse?
I don't really have control over my zits. I'm breaking out right now, which might be because of the time of the month. But I break out like this even during normal times. I'd really like to prevent this stuff from happening.
In other news: I got my Dr. HCC in the mail today. Cannot wait to try it - maybe it'll help.
Later players. |

Hi jamie,
Sounds to me like you should be using an all over treatment to prevent the pimples from forming.
By poking and popping your zits you're transfering bacteria all over your face which might be causing you to get more. It really is best to do as mom says and leave them alone.
Have you been to your Dr about your skin concerns? I think it would be beneficial. |

If you have normal/combo skin then you should definately try Decleor's essential balm as an all over treatment. It is great at drying up pimples and helps with time of the month trouble. |

If you are referring to Decleor's essential balm then you are suppose to use it at night. And use Vit-C serum during the day. It would be just fine and work well. |
