Hi, everyone, I am a new comer to this forum. Actually I have been reading the posts here for a long time. And I bought IS clinical hydra cool and Pro-heal to use in the morning after reading so many good comments here. I have to say the pro-heal is quite good. It applies smoothly and doesn't cause breakout. My acne marks seem fade a little bit. I have used up the whole bottle already. But today morning, I noticed that I had one brown spot on the cheek and two more lighter ones on my forehead. I usually doesn't have such kind of pigmentation on my face. I don't know if they are caused by the pro-heal? I use skinceutials sunblock spf 20 everday followed by the pro-heal since i noticed the pro-heal has retino in it. Can anyone help me to know why those brown spots appear? I don't have much hope to get rid of them. However, any good products to prevent those happen again? Thanks!!!

Hello and welcome! Did you say you apply your sunscreen and then the pro-heal? You should always apply the sunscreen last. Besides it's probably reducing the effectiveness of the serum since it creates sort of a barrier on your skin.

Unfortunately I don't use the pro-heal myself, only active/firming and hydracool but I've never had any pigmentation problems from any of these. Hopefully someone else will chime in who has used this product. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your reply.

sorry for my typing error, I applied the sunblock after the proheal as the last step. Just looked at the mirror, I think I should take some time to get familiar with the new brown spot on my face. Confused

I am thinking to give skinceutials phyto+ a try? Is it worth a try?

If the proheal has retinol in it that should take care of your brown spots over time. I'd just give it a bit longer and see if they start fading, especially since you've already invested in the product!

Perhaps someone else that has had a similar experience can assist as well. It may be something else that I'm just unaware of.

Been using proheal for a while and never had any brown spots. That's strange for sure.

Hi, AnnieR,

I also don't expect this. Confused what sunblock cream you apply after that in the morning? I have beening using spf 20. Now I doubt if it is not high enough. I will switch to use super serum since I just finished all the pro-heal I have including the samples.

I am now searching for a skin lightening product which at least can prevent more spots appear. however, still no idea what product to choose.

Well I am ashamed to say I hardly ever use sunscreen this time of year except on my nose, but my makeup has 15 spf and I am usually only out at night and weekends (sounds like a vampire). Now if I am on vacation or in the summer months I use at least a 30 spf or higher but not daily.

I too noticed that my freckles & dark spots became more noticible since I've started using ISC products Confused I use the Active and Pro-Heal serums, morning and evening. (Sometimes will use Active both morning and evening, other times will substitute Proheal in the mornings.)

I started using Skinceuticals Retinol cream once a week. Hopefully that will lighten the darker spots.

Rogneda...

I don't know if the IS Clinical has to do with the brown spots several have referred to. I've been using IS Clinical for about a year and have nothing but good results.

My purpose in posting, though, is to say that you are most definitely overtreating your skin. I have very resilient skin and I can't imagine using the Active Serum twice per day. Using Retinol on top of that!!! I see that you are in your twenties. Cut it out before you do serious damage to your skin. We're all anxious for results, but overtreating, especially overtreating with highly active products isn't going to speed results and could cause more damage.
