I use many products and I've been wondering whether my skin would do better to use one type of product for a week (say all of the low pH things, vit C, glycolic creams, lipoic acid) and the peptides and more delicate things for the next week (DMAE, Peptides, copper peptides etc.).

I have seen some studies suggesting that off and on is good but not many. My face is more sensitive in the winter. We have snow on the ground now and low temps and my skin is a bit red.

What does everyone think?

Thanks.

Ive been told to use one type of product for a while to see results.
During the summer season i use different products than the winter. In the winter season i like Dr. H line of products for dry skin.

I don't agree with going "off and on". I think the key to having good skin is keeping your routine consistent so you can see what works for you and what doesn't. And then stick with the things that work. Many products have an additive effect over time, so going off of them only prevents you from getting the fully realized results.

I have never believed that skin or hair gets "immune" or "tired" of certain products.

Me neither, but our skin does improve if it likes a certain product. When it improves it is different, like dry skin becoming hydrated or oily skin behaving normal. When that happens I think it only makes sense to adjust your skincare routine to suit the new and improved state of your skin.

So to answer your question IMO it's not 'on and off' on a wekly or monthly basis, it is simply a matter of making adjustments when necessary.
