Hello everyone,

I just wanted to ask if anybody taking these supplements feels nauseous with them ? I am taking a combined capsule of HA and Collagen. I find I also sleep very very heavy when taking them, and find it harder to get up in the mornings. Does anybody have any advice regarding this ? I didn't take them on a completely empty stomach, although not with a meal,
any ideas ?
much much appreciated,
Jackie

maybe u could switch brands, almost sounds like an allergy to an ingredient. Or take them with milk or a full meal. I've never had problems. If you can find ones you can tolerate their definately worth it not only for ur lips but for your skin.

Wow Jackie,

I have been taking HA capsules for the past 2 months and no sleepiness. Wish I do since I always have problem sleeping at night.

Good luck in finding something that works for you.

If you look in the "Eureka" thread (perform a search using that and “CareKate” as the key words and it’ll return a result for the 18 page topic) for my product review of the HA/collagen pills, you'll find a couple of posts around pgs 2-6 where some members (I think Judy Marshall was one of them) reported that the supplements help plump up the under-eye area. The thing you have to remember is that you need to take a minimum dosage in order to see the results, and as soon as you stop taking the supplements your lips and/or under-eye area will revert to what it was before.

If you have any additional questions about these supplements, send me a PM and I’ll try to answer them for you.

Hi everyone,
I have been taking the HA/Collagen supplements for a few weeks now, and I've suddenly started to get alot of spots around my jawline. I can only think it is these as I get a similar effect from silica supplements. I have read somewhere that collagen can cause spots in some people, but I would really like to continue to take a supplement of this nature. Can anyone receommend a really good brand of just HA on it's own ?
many thanks
Jackie

The only brand I've ever seen that was pure HA with no other additives was from Walgreens pharmacy, which is actually how this whole lip plumping craze started! I can't remember the name/brand that I used, but check out the "Eureka" thread and you should be able to find out the name on pg 1.

When you take Collagen proteins contains a lot of amino acids. Some types of amino acids makes a you sleepy small period.

HA should be chosen carefully. HA can't normally be absorbed by the body, the molecule is too large. The molecule must shrinks by a laboratory and the quality varies a lot. You should check the quality before you buy.

Pharmacist Suzy Cohen recommends limiting ha to 100 mg or less. She does think ha is very valuable for eye and joint health, and also plumps skin. The natural (rooster comb) ha I take is from Neocell.

I notice my vision is better when I take ha, but it does help skin look smooth.

No matter how old is thread is, it is an equally relevant now in these days.

Recommend low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. Not all brands that sell it.

I have been curios about HA supp. So is its molecular weight specified on the bottles? I could sure use some plumping under the eyes.

I remember when that thread first came out and I did order & use the HA's per Carekate/Judy (boy I miss those gals!). Very interesting topic.
They did help plump up but it wasn't enough to warrant the amount and cost of having to take so many, very minimal. It did stop as soon as you stopped taking them and I didn't feel it was justified enough for me.

It's no molecular weight specified on the bottles. Some brands marks bottles that they use low molecular weight HA.

It is only one company in japan which have developed low molecular weight HA. They have reduced the molecule so much so that it can be absorbed in the stomach and skin. It has never been possible before.

Just wondering why you are taking Hyaluronic Acid/Collagen capsules. What are you trying to do? What does it do? Thanks Smile
