Since this question does not really fall into any other forum I thought I would post it here. Question for anyone that has a prescription to the numerous products such as Retin A, Differin, Tazorac etc. I have been using Clindamycin Benzaclin that was prescribed to my brother. It has worked miracles and nothing else seemed too. Now I am out and I went to the doctor who said, you do not have a skin problem (well not now, since I have been using this) now he will not prescribe to me. I do not want to wait until my skin is a mess again. Any suggestions on products that I can buy on line that are the same or similar to this product. Without a prescription? |

HI there~I have no answers but am glad you asked. Maybe someone will respond. I too used to use Differin and really liked it. I had mild acne and the dermatologist prescribed it for me several times. Insurnace covered it so it was only like, $5. Sweet! However, since my skin is clear now, he writes the prescription for "cosmetic" purposes, which my insurance won't cover. Therefore, it becomes around $200.
Months ago i researched(and searched and searched)for an online pharmacy that might sell it to me w/out a presc. I thought i found one. It was Horizon Drugs. I ordered it and it was under $50. Well, it never came. This was back in.....let me see....the late spring. I emailed them many times....what a sham. So, beware who you buy from. A lot of these pharmacies are scams. I learned the hard way. |

Thank you for responding....I did too try to find a source on line that would give me the product w/o a prescription or at least find something close to the same ingred. I never did find a source. I know it will be a lot more money, but nice skin is worth it to me. I know you have to be careful of on line sources..thanks for the help...I am sorry to hear about your concerns as well. I guess I just don't understand that if you do find a product that works (and we know our skin better than anyone) why can they not continue the prescription? It is obviously working!
