I`ve heard it`s good against dark spots/acne scars. But is there a difference between retinol and retin a or is it the same? Also if you`re skin is combo and at the same time dehydrated, what product is good to use? TIA Smile

Retin-A is a prescription drug that you need to see a dermatologist to get.
Retinol is a kind of Retin-A that is avaliable in some cosmetic products. Retinol is also less irritating compare to Retin-A.

Retinol must be broken down by your skin into tretinoin to be effective. Thus it is a much weaker version of Retin-A (tretinoin). Because it is weaker, it can be less irritating. But Renova and Retin-A micro (tretinoin products) have been formulated to reduce irritation so you might want to think about those if you are worried about irritation but want full effectiveness.
