For as long as I can remember my lips got dry after using lipstick.
I just used extra lip balm the days after and never really cared about it.
Now I'm starting to use it more regulary.
I want to use it everyday.
But if I do, my lips, get ultradry, they itch and hurt and I get irritaded around the lip line.
I started to use a lipstick from the drugstore that was allergic-tested and it was quite ok, now my lips "only" gets superdry and a little irritated.
But since the color is so dull, I want classic red, I'm looking for new brands to try on.
I need tips!!
Maybe Clinique...help me!

You may want to try MAC's Russian Red...I think that's what it is called...It is a very classic red with blue tone. |

Yes, I love that color.
But,my face is way to sensitive to their products.
Their foundation gave me itch.
I need something more... natural.. |

Have you ever tried a lipstain, like BeneTint, or something similar? |

my sister has a similar problem and finds that almost all lip products (lip stick, lip gloss etc.) make her lips so incredibly dry. she uses a tinted lip balm, like a chap stick with a bit of colour in it which is not a lot of colour but enough to make her feel like she's wearing something!

Have you tried a more natural lipstick such as jurlique. I use one of theirs in the colour jarrah and it is great. I dont have the full list of ingredients on me but i know there is nothing bad in it, think it is made of shea butter and natural oils etc but it is great. I am wearing it now!!!!!!!!!! |

I agree with trying a more natural lipstick. I've never used Jurlique, but the ingredients in Dr. Hauschka lipstick are all-natural and I've found them to be very very moisturizing. Definitely stay away from cheap drug store brands, they always made my lips dry. |
