I don’t know if I was too stupid or too desperate.
I tried Murad Vitamin C Home Infusion Kit last night. The instruction said avoid eye area and I did. But I put it on my lips. It had tingling feelings as the instruction said. All seemed working perfectly until 10 minutes later when I was ready to wash it off. My lips were burning and swollen, felt like thousands of bees were stinging me, especially the inside of my bottom lip. I rushed to the sink and washed off everything. My skin was so smooth and soft and my skin tone was lighter but my lips looked like Angelina Jolie with SUPER RED lipstick and numbed. It looked and felt horrible. I put on the Cellular Replenishing Serum on my face which was included in the kit and this is the best part of the whole procedure. It’s a very, very light gel and hydrated my skin so much for a long time. I always think I have super dry skin but lately I realized my skin is not that dry at all. I didn’t think I need anything else after this serum but as a habit I put on a moisturizer.
This morning my skin was very soft but my lips were still swollen and numbed, not as bad as last night. I told my co-worker I had lip injection last week and they believed me and said I looked sexy. D…….
For sure I’ll finish this kit (It’s for 4 weeks). But NOT ON MY LIPS. |

The product itself sounds interesting, but I don't understand why you would put it on your lips?????? It doesn't take a biologist to determine that lips represent tissue that's entirely different than the skin on your face. You probably would have better tolerated the stuff around your eyes (although obviously not on your eyelids !!!).... It's true that most products like this tell you to avoid the eye area. That is principally a precaution, since the skin around the eye is thinner and more sensitive. I happen to have very resilient skin and I generally can tolerate most products used around the eye quite well. But I'd NEVER dream of doing something like putting the same product on my lips....   |

| I guess I was very stupid. I should have connected Vitamin C, acid, and burn all together. Today, my lips are much better but begin to peel. Dry and ugly. I told myself "well, I'll have baby soft lips after the peeling." I have to fool my own stupidity. |
