I had a mole removed 2 months ago by a plastic surgeon thru incision biospy. Ever since i have been applying the "Centellase" ointment which he provided for scar fading. It contains Tirated Extract of Centella Asiatica. I dont know what that is but i find the fading process slowling down. He claims it will take 3-6 months for it to fade visibly. i still have a reddish brown spot where the scar is. Also, the skin is not flat, like there are very tiny little bumps. Anyone know what i can use to expedite the fading process and to regain as close to natural skin as possible? Its right at the delicate upper lip area. Pls help! Thanks |

Hi mojocat,
I use Neosporin (Original First Aid Antibiotic Ointment (gel not cream-cream doesn't work as well), whenever I have the urge to scratch off any pimple. I have noticed that if I don't put Neosporin it takes for the skin to heal few weeks, but when I do use it the skin heals much faster and the dark spots and scars become much less visible. Maybe you can try using that at night or under make up. Hope this helps.

My surgeon recommended that I massage the contents of a vitamin E capsule into my surgery scar in order to help it heal better and faster. I have heard someone here comment that vitamin E can also somehow worsen the healing process (not sure how sorry, if you do a search for vitamin E here you should find the diiscussion). For me it worked very well though. HTH |

Vit. E capsule and sorbelene cream is what the docs tell my parents all the time.
I heard the Merderm (or Merderma) is good but have not tried that myself |
