I've had a small one (roughly size of two grains of rice) which got somehow irritated or inflamed and got very painful (couldn't wear a bra as it was rubbing against it). It actually sort of drained itself in the end, which was icky but, for me, much better than a needle I guess. My doctor wants me to get it cut out completely because a little of it still has remained after it drained and closed up. Apparently they can re-occur and if they get irritated they can scar, which is her main reason for recommending removal of it.
That's my very limited knowledge of it. HTH |

Thanks Mabsy..
I had a big lump for about 4 weeks and it grew to about the size of half an egg. Luckily it was a cyst which I had drained last Thursday. I then had a mammagram and an ultrasound, but everything was clear. Woke up this morning and the cyst is back..yuk |

Doctors generally advise patients with fibroid cysts to avoid caffeinated products. |

a friend of mine had one and it disappeared on its own after a week. I'd follow the advice of your doctor |

Very glad to hear that it was all clear. It's scary stuff! My Dr did say that she was worried about it recurring as well. I'm sure your Dr will give you the best advice though. |
