The only two lipstick sealant product that I’ve ever used is called “My Lips Are Sealed” that is available at Walgreens or Sallys Beauty for less than five bucks and another one from Sephora that cost three times as much but who’s name completely escapes me at the moment (and which didn’t work any better than the “MLAS” sealant) so I can’t specifically help you with LipChic version, but I *do* want to state that lipstick sealants are by their very nature extremely drying to the lips so I would not recommend wearing one every day because I imagine it would really wreck havoc on the overall health and condition of your lips

If you’ve ever tried to wear one of those lip color products like “Lipfinity” from Max Factor or “Overtime Lip Color” from Revlon on a regular basis, which contains a long-wearing lipstain with a separate clear gloss that you apply over the top that is supposed to “lock in” the color so it stays on your lips all day, you might recall that if you tried to wear those products every day that it really dried out your lips. You’d get the same sort of result if you tried to use a lipstick sealant every day, so if you decide to try the one from LipChic, remember that it probably ought to be saved and used only for a special occasion like a wedding or your prom or whatever.

Okay, sorry, I’ll take off my schoolmarm’s outfit and end this lecture now! Embarassed

I use a product called "Sealed With A Kiss" that I buy at Sally's. It does make your lips feel a little dry, but I have used it everyday for the past three to four years!

It seems that LIPCHIC is the same type of product but I was just curious if anyone had ever tired it.

Thanks!

PS- Carekate- What is your "basic easy to make and use" Aspirin mask receipe? teh lower half of my skin is breaking out, will it help it or harm it? Thanks!

See pg 14 of the DIY skincare thread: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=5981&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=325 where I posted an introduction to AHAs/BHAs.

Here’s a review from a member who used the “plain vanilla” aspirin mask and attained immediate and noticeable results:

I'm having a bad week...literally I have 8 red spots on my face from pimples in various stages of healing, the spots are swollen and sore. Try as I might, I can't make them invisible. I've tried concealer, foundation, etc ...you can still see them. I've been reading this forum for some time now, and was semi-familiar with the posts on the aspirin mask and aspirin toner. So, at lunch I stopped at CVS and bought a $.99 bottle of uncoated aspirin, some witch hazel, and a bottle of 100% aloe vera. I mixed 7 or 8 aspirin in a small amount of witch hazel, then used a couple of cotton balls to put the mixture all over my face. (I did this about 2 hours ago.). My skin looks remarkable..the spots are still there, but the swelling is 90% gone. My face looks like it probably would have looked in 5-6 days without doing anything. This stuff is a miracle!!!
