Hi,
I need some skincare suggestions. I am 33 but still suffer from acne - mostly blackheads but I have very dehydrated and flaky skin. I currently use a glycolic cleanser (Serious Skin Care) and Creme de la Mer - both products which I love. I'm looking for a comparable cleanser and maybe a hydrating mask. From reading this site I am considering the Phytomer Desensitizing Mask and cellex-c cleanser and hydra 5 B-complex. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Colleen |

Hi,
Have you considered MD Formulations they do a great range of glycolic acid products. I have similar skin to yours and nothing else has worked for me as well as the MDF range. Also as a treat a glycolic acid peel facial helps too. |

| Have you heard of 'tea tree oil'? don't let the word OIL fool you. it's actually a pure essential oil that is derived from the melaleuca alternifolia plant of Australia. It is really good for oily or blemished skin. Many people told me that it kills acne but won't dry out your skin. Try @MOSPHERE tea tree oil facial wash which are usually in pharmacies. Also for a mask, i would say Proactiv Mild Exfoliating Peel which lifts away dead, dull skin cells, excess oil and other impuritites. there are other ingredients like aloe, greentea, orange, and lemon. However, you need to order it from television. |

Hi Colleen,
Well I know you said "comparable" but the Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream has worked so well on my blackheads that I had to mention it It would also suit you well since you have dehydrated skin (and AHAs dry it out more). That's just in case you wanted an alternative
I really like the MDF AHA range in terms of effectiveness. I actually find their products quite boring (I'm a sucker for pretty packaging and pretty scents ) but they are effective!
I can't comment on the Desensitizing Mask and cellex-c cleanser because I haven't used them, but I have used the B5 gel. Basically, a good hydrating boost for your skin (that goes under your moisturiser). In my opinion, a good addition for dehydrated skins. Btw, Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream has been compared to CDLM on numerous occasions (in reviews) and there are quite a few ladies with dry skin who love it. If you are looking for a CDLM replacement or just want to have a break from it then it might be a good one to try. Sorry, I know you didn't ask about it, it's just quite hard to shut me up - especially when heading towards the weekend
