hi all,
i am looking for some new products for a new regime... i wasn't on any particular regime (got fed up of one and started putting whatever i felt like on my skin--luckily my skin didn't break out on me)
so...
i'm looking for a nice pick-me-up jel cleanser
possibly: yonka's gel cleanser
a make up remover... i don't know why i have always wanted to try cleansing milk but im not sure if its suitable for my combo/acne prone skin.
a mild, alcohol free toner
and a nice moisterizer. i prefer it to be light-textured, and have gel-like consistency...
thanks so much!!

If you are wanting the Yonka cleanser then yes do go for that one
Make-up remover - I too have oily skin whith the odd breakout, I use Jojoba oil to remove all my make-up, I also use Jojoba oil as a night time (and sometime day) moisturiser.
Toner - You really can't go wrong with Witch Hazel when it comes to oily, impure skin. Also check out the homemade Apple Cider Vinegar toner on the recpes thread.
Moisturiser - I have seen fantastic results using a few drops of Grapeseed oil, if my skin is really oily then I swith to Jojoba Oil. |
_________________ oily/acne prone - acne scars on chin area/Large Pores in winter. Oily in Summer. Fair, nuetral/cool complexion, burn easily. Early 20s |

allow me to jump in with a huge rave here for Eve Lom cleanser. It is just THE BEST for removing make-up and (particularly in summer) is nourishing enough that you will not need to add moisturizer on top. This cleanser gets a out of 5 IMO
End of rave
(a nice gel cleanser I tried that was non-drying but effective was Murad vit C gel cleanser. very effective but did not strip skin) |

I would recommed the YonKa cleansing gel as well if you're thinking of that one. It's also effective as a makeup remover. I would probably stay away from cream cleansers for acne prone skin but there are often exceptions to that rule as I am sure there are cream cleasers with salicylic acid in them.
Moisturiser wise, do you have any brand preferences? I found the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel to be very nice but I don't know if that would be moisturising enough for you. Perhaps try a sample? |
