I went to get the LRP 45 the other day to prepare myself for a week in Banffand. While talking to the pharmacist about the differences between 45 and 60 and my freckles, she suggested Zinc cream for babies. She said that zinc stick (the white stick) is what surfer and skier use (the white strip on the nose and cheeks) to get ultimate blockage from the sun. After buying it and did some research, I wonder if zince is suitable for my cheeks and nose (namely the freckly area). I read somewhere on the Net that zinc cream can block pores and causing miliaria and in-grown hair. This really scares me, but I need protection for my cheeks, you have no idea how my freckles pop out under the sun with reflection from snow. My cheeks would look like I have just come out from working in the mine. Should I use in when I go skiing or should I return it? If it's good enough for babies's bottom, it should be good enough for my face, right? Please help, I am leaving tomorrow.

Serious Protection by Cosmedix is a full spectrum complete sun block. It's made from non-irritating titanium dioxide. It's spf 28 all natural sun protection, is facial quality so you can use from head to toe. www.cosmedix.com
I've used this before and it's very light and works well. |

Hmm, it's too late to get that cosmedix now. Maybe next time. Thanks anyway. I still would like to here people's experience from zinc cream though. I am going to try it and will stop as soon as I see any blockage. I started using LRP 45 today, a tiny break out but what else can I do, right? Will report back after a week of skiing. Thanks everyone.
