Hi,
I've been thinking of buying a sunscreen/sunblock for a while now. I used to use the LRP one before but i found it too oily, it gave a white casty oily film on my face.
Can you guys reccommend a oil-free and white cast-free sunscreen/sunblock?
I've been thinking of Shiseido's ultimate sunscreen lotion, sofina's very very, DHC's white sunblock, Dr. Ci Labo's sunscreen, Shu Uemura... etc (I found japanese brands less oily from experience)anyone here used any of these brands?
p.s should I try chemical or physical sunscreen? since i heard that physical sunblock blocks pore and cause breakout
skin type: combination, acne-prone skin
Thanks all! |

I'm on the Obagi program and I am to use only oil-free sunscreen. So I was looking on Amazon and came across this info and decided to go with Skinceuticals Ultimate 30.
This is from a review of the Neutragena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch:
Only two sunscreen ingredients protect against the long UVAI rays that cause photodamage; zinc oxide and Parsol 1789. Zinc Oxide protects a broader range of these rays than does Parsol 1789. This sunscreen has Parsol 1789 (Avobenzone). It's good, and certainly offers more photo damage protection than most, but a sunscreen with zinc oxide would be better still. Zinc Oxide is also less irritating, it's even found in some baby care products. Because Parsol 1789 is a chemical rather than a physical sunscreen like Zinc Oxide, some may experience irritation with Neutrogena Dry Touch.
*Deleted more about the Neutragena*
cont'd-
But if you are willing to spend a bit more money, check out a zinc oxide sunscreen such as Skinceuticals Ultimate 30 which offers a bit more protection and is less irritating (zinc oxide is less irritating that Parsol 1789). And most certainly at least get a sunscreen with Parsol 1789 such as this one. |

i love the Peter Thomas Roth Ultra Lite Titanium Dioxide Sunblock SPF 30 (it also has zinc oxide). I have oily, acne prone skin and have no problems with it ... it's light, finishes matte and doesn't leave a white cast or film. I recommend you look into it also. |

Heard sofina leaves no whitecast and is very light in texture. A lot of people also love dhc but some reports of breakout. |
