STEP 1 – PREPARE:
In this step, you cleanse and tone your skin to make it more receptive to the correction step. Wash your face with either the Gentle Cleanser or Foaming Gel, rinse with lukewarm water and gentle pat dry. Avoid rubbing the skin with a towel. Apply the Toner on a cotton ball or pad and apply to your entire face. Do not rinse.
STEP 2 – CORRECT:
This step helps to repair the damage to the surface of the skin, correcting
hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone and smoothing skin roughness. Apply Clear (1/2 gram) evenly on the entire face, extending to the hairline and over the ears. Wait 2 minutes and apply a second coat over dark spots. Note: Patients with dark skin should use Clear on the entire face once a day, preferably in the morning, and apply at night only on the darkest areas. Apply Exfoderm (1/2 gram) or Exfoderm Forte (1/2 gram) evenly over the entire face, avoiding the eyelid area. All creams should be rubbed in gently until totally absorbed before proceeding to the next step.
There is an easy way to measure ½ gram of Clear, Exfoderm or Blender. Just use the lines of OBAGI on the front of these packages. The distance between OBA is exactly ½ gram.
STEP 3 – STIMULATE:
This step helps to repair damage to the deeper layers of the skin. It restores skin elasticity by enhancing the production of collagen and elastin. Apply Blender (1/2 gram) mixed with 1/2 to 1 gram Tretinoin 0.05% or 0.1%.
Peeling and redness is normal and temporary. Skin may look temporarily worse from the use of Blender and Tretinoin until your skin builds a tolerance to the program. If peeling, irritation and redness persists, slow down your application of Blender and Tretinoin to every other night or every third
night, and use New-Derm Action as needed.
STEP 4 – PROTECT:
This step further protects against damage from harmful UVA and UVB rays, as well as protecting the sensitive eye area. Apply
your favorite Sunblock. Reapply often while in the sun. Prolonged sun exposure should be avoided. Eye Cream is
recommended for daily use to take care of the thin, wrinkled skin of the eyelids.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Prior history of sensitivity or allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients. The
safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 years and under) has not been established.
WARNINGS
Caution: Hydroquinone is a skin bleaching agent that may produce unwanted cosmetic effects
if not used as directed.
Test for skin sensitivity before using by applying a small amount to an unbroken patch of skin and check in 24 hours. Minor redness is not a contraindication, but where there is itching or vesicle
formation or excessive inflammatory response, further treatment is not advised.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse eyes thoroughly with water and contact physician. A bitter taste and anesthetic effect may occur it applied to lips.
Sunscreen use is an essential aspect of hydroquinone therapy because even minimal sunlight exposure sustains melanocytic activity.
PRECAUTIONS (SEE WARNINGS)
General
Treatment should be limited to relatively small areas of the body at one time since some patients experience a transient skin reddening and a mild burning sensation that does not preclude treatment.
Pregnancy Category C
Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with topical hydroquinone. It is also not known whether hydroquinone can cause fetal harm when used topically on a pregnant woman or affect reproductive capacity. It is not known to what degree, if any, topical hydroquinone is absorbed systemically. Topical hydroquinone should be used on pregnant women only when clearly indicated.
Nursing mothers
It is not known whether topical hydroquinone is absorbed or excreted in human milk. Caution is advised when topical hydroquinone is used by a nursing mother.
Pediatric usage
Safety and effectiveness in children below the age of 12 years have not been established.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
No systemic adverse reactions have been reported. Occasional hypersensitivity (localized contact dermatitis) may occur, in which case the medication should be discontinued and the physician
notified immediately.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
A thin application should be applied to the affected area twice daily or as directed by a physician. If no improvement is seen after three (3) months
of treatment, use of this product should be discontinued. Sun exposure should be limited by using a sunscreen agent, a sun blocking agent, or protective clothing to cover bleached skin when using and after using this product in order to prevent
re-pigmentation.
