My skin has been extremely oily lately, maybe because it's summer where I live But I really wanted to try a new deep cleansing clay mask, seeing as I just love masks! This one has a nice creamy texture & a nice calming & soothing floral scent. You only need a fairly thin layer as a little goes a long way, which is probably a good thing seeing as the tube is only 50mls. I think I may have applied too much, because it is supposed to change from green to white, & hence you have to rinse it off when it turns white, but I didn't really notice much of a change in colour when I used it. It left my skin feeling super soft & smooth, but not too tight or dry like most clay based masks can.
I'm not sure if this is as good as my beloved Dr H Cleansing Clay Mask, which imo gives a much deeper clean. But I really like the scent of the Decleor one it's very calming & it did not irritate my sensitive skin at all. I will have to use it a couple more times in order to decide whether I will repurchase or just stick to the Dr H mask. |

You've done a great job at describing the texture and scent but how effective is it in terms of deep cleansing properties or "purifying" qualities? |

I've used the Decleor on spots and Dr. Hauschka for the whole face treatment. |

Hi sormuimui,
imo it is not as great as the Dr H clay mask (not sure if you have used this before?) which I find is definitely more effective at deep cleansing. I haven't been using the Decleor one for a very long time, I used it again last night & like I said my skin has been extremely oily lately. But I really noticed that I didn't find it "purifying" enough for my skin, because I had a look at my skin after I rinsed the mask off & it didn't look as smooth as it does when I use the Dr H mask. So the Decleor one is maybe better for people with slightly less oily/congested skin than mine. |

No worries sormuimui you probably already know this but there are heaps of reviews for the Dr H mask, if you wanted to read other peoples oppinions/experiences as well.

Safire, I tried the Dr H clay mask a few times but I couldn't tell whether it did anything for my skin so I didn't bother buying the full size. How can you tell that a mask really draws out impurities? The only one I am using now is Dr H rejuvenating mask, which is great, it makes my skin glow the following day. But its description does not say that it purifies the skin, only that it revitalizes it. Any recommendations???? I am considering trying the herbal clay mask also. Thanks |

And another question on masks, how can you tell if your skin needs a moisturizing mask (besides obvious dryness)? I've never really considered using one but perhaps I should. |

A very nice mask, and it doesn't completely dry out so will suit most sensitive or dry skin. But since I have oily skin, I don't find it impressive as a "purifying" mask, but rather a nice calming one. |

this is a pretty average clay-based mask. not a bad product... but not great either. i'll use it up, but would not repurchase. same results can be gotten from a much less expensive clay mask.
the smell is rather odd... flowery... but i think it smells kind of artificial, which is sort of ironic since decleor is a mainly natural line. |
