I’ve been using moisturizers for many years now. I want to give my skin a break, they only problem is my skin is very addicted to it. For the people who quit moisturizers, how long did it take your face to normalize? It’s been 2 days for me and my face is really dry and red.

I would actually advise not quitting moisturising your skin but switching to a natural moisturiser or oil instead as these are better suited at helping hte skin to retain moisture and prevent moisture loss.

If you are using chemical moisturisers then it depends on the ingredients in the moisturiser you have been using. Nowadays, you can get moisturisers with everything from SPF to retinoids.

I'd actually suggest switching to a plant based oil like rosehip oil (which is full of vitamins).

Go for macadamia, jojoba and squalane oil blend- supposedly the oils closest to our skin's natural production.

Agree! You want to moisturize your skin and then seal it in with natural (!!) oil. e.g. Virginic's argan oil. ridiculously nice.

Also , you want to experiment with different oils to find which are better for your skin.

When i switch to oils from moisturizers, i found that my skin likes the most argan oil, carrot seed oil and emu oil.

All other oils, sadly including jojoba and rose hip oils, clog my pores and give me melia.

Whilst I don't understand the pretext of your quest, would you consider using a toner cheating?

I use Biololique Recheche P50 and I find that my skin does not feel dry even if I forget to apply any moisturiser afterward.

So, my suggestion, either use BP P50, or a toner to at least balance and restore the acid mantle.
