Hello, Nanine,

I'm actually the one who posted that. You can order a bottle of the silk amino acids from lotioncrafter (DOT)com. It's a liquid. The smallest bottle is enough to last a long time because you only need to add four or five drops to the mascara tube.

Skippy try adding about 1/4 teaspoon of the silk amino acids to a jar of serum or moisturizer. Adjust to your preference, but I love it!

What does it do for your skin, Sexi? I have lots left in the bottle so I need to do something with it.

I am to new to post a link, to any other info, but I understand it has a low molecular weight, which makes it penetrate better, antioxidant properties, water binding properties. It makes the serum or cream feel "awesome" anyway & absorbs fast leaving a velvet texture with no excess oil. (Although I do not have oily skin, not sure about if it would clog pores & give you zits or not, it doesn't on me.)I have a friend who adds about 2 teaspoons to a 16 ounce bottle of hair conditioner. I have not tried the hair conditioner yet, but I am going to.

Thought I would make it easier for everyone.
I love it in my mascara, haven't tried the suggestion for using it on the face yet!

From lotioncrafters site about the Silk Amino Acids:

You Are Here:  Home - Proteins & Derivatives -  Silk Amino Acids
Silk Amino Acids

Silk Amino Acids
CAS No. 96690-41-4

Hydrolyzed from pure silk fibers, silk amino acids have a lower molecular weight than silk protein powders and are penetrating and moisturizing to skin and hair. Our Silk Amino Acids have been decolorized and deodorized -- making them an exceptional addition to even the most delicate of formulations. Recommended for formulating shampoos, conditioner, hair treatments, bodywash, body lotions, cleansers, toners and facial moisturizers, mascara, lipstick and color cosmetics.

Note, NO liquid silk amino acids are manufactured without preservatives, including ours.  Preservatives are necessary to maintain the integrity of the raw material.  We have provided the preservative used by the manufacturer below for your reference.

Recommended Usage Level: 1-2.5%

Appearance: Clear to Light Yellow Liquid with little odor
Specific Gravity: 1.06
Preserved with:  0.15 - 0.25% Quaternium-15 and Methylparaben

INCI: Silk Amino Acids

Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer (with SPF 45). Was recommended to me by a dermatologist (after telling her that I just wanted her #1 recommendation for a quality daily moisturizer with SPF, cost NOT being a consideration). I was surprised with her recommendation being from a drugstore, and have been very happy with it! Cost is about $17 Can. for 50 ml. (Use my other EDS serums, products, etc. and this moisturizer has fit in nicely, with max SPF.)

I like this thread!

Some of my favorites:

Avene = Ystheal lotion, Eulage cream & Gel

La Roche Posay = Hydraphrase UV 30 (been using it for years); Redermic eye and face

Vichy Micellar cleansing water

Annabelle eye shadows (Cdn line)
Bonne Belle Lipsmackers

Aveeno Calming Cleanser (foamy cleanser that gently cleans)

Head & Shoulders Clean Classic shampoo for my BACK (keeps back acne away. Read about it on here.)

Revlon nail polishes & SL lip glosses (go on sale for about $3.99 at SDM)

Eucerin Calming Moisturizer = huge 200 ml tube moisturizes well

Complex 15 moisturizer = lighter than the above moisturizer. Just basic light moisturize

RoC - exfoliate
Nuetrogena = Body oil, hand cream

Neostrata - cleanser with 4% AHA and Neostrata Cliniderm SS

Some d/s hair styling products = too many to list

Clearasil cleansing pads = 14 DS

I am sure there is others. But that is all I can think of for now.

I really like the Rimmle nail polishes that are called 60 seconds. They dry very fast and last longer then other fast drying nail colours. I also like L'oreal true match foundation - found one that actually matched my skin! Vaseline cocoa butter body lotion - it is so moisturizing and did not break me out. Also, the Extra gentle face wash from Neutrogena - again, no break outs and it takes off waterproof mascara.

I am a drugstore junkie. It started about ten years ago, I switched off of Prescriptives to drugstore stuff.

Anyway, more products I love

Neutrogena Rainbath
Sally Hershberger Style Primer-- really pumps up my fine hair
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Volumizer, love the light blue bottle
Revlon Photo Ready-- have only worn it once but I think it's a keeper

Want to try L'oreal Studio Secrets especially the primer.

I forgot to add Pantene conditioner. It is the only thing that makes my thin frizzy hair act properly instead of looking like a fright wig.
