Hello, I've been lurking around, reading reviews here for about a month. Figured I should just join.
I'm 28, sick of looking older than I am, and sick of the constant acne. I want to start combating both issues, and there seems to be alot of positive energy and positive 'back and forth' on this forum, which I really like.
That's me! Looking forward to gettin' my learnin' on. |

Hey, I am new to this forum, even though I've heard this forum before for many times. But I just kept lurking. Yesterday finally I registered it.
So, is there anyone who can tell me how to be a full member? :P
I wanna buy some stuff from EDS. If I can obtain the 5% discount, it'll be nice. |
Haha, I found the answers!
10-50 posts = Full Member = 5% discount.
50-250 posts = Senior Member = 10% discount.
250-1000 posts = Preferred Member = 15% discount.
over 1000 posts = VIP = 20% discount.
=_=b I've to say it was a stupid question. AHa, the fortunate thing is that I got the answer by myself... |

I have a more question: why the forum shows my account only has 1 post, but actually I have about 10 posts? |

Hi there!
I'm new too, based in Vancouver Canada. I happened to come across this forum a few days ago. And I'm just amazed at this whole new world of skincare that I never knew existed! I've been using drugstore brands and I think i should move on now :P
Someone mentioned and I agree, it does seem a little intimidating since I've never heard of practically all the products being discussed! But I'm a 29-year-old female, and feeling confused at the choices that are out there to prevent aging, so hopefully I'll learn from this forum.

Hi! I'm a professor at a Big Ten university, live in a college town of 100,000 with 35,000 students. Talk about being surrounded by youth and beauty.
I have always been skin-obsessed, but also was a beach bunny for many years. Now I am looking for the holy grail of anti-aging. My issues are some sun induced pigmentation and dynamic wrinkles starting to appear. My obsession right now--marionette lines and believe it or not, my knees!
I've been lurking forever, learned a ton from the group, and am now ready to jump in the discussions! |

I forgot to delurk.
I finally registered last week.
Female, 27, dry skin.
Recently moved from Phoenix, Az to Silicon Valley, Ca. The weather change has made my skin all sorts of fun. Really. I promise.
I tend more toward natural lines of skincare, though I haven't been able to convert my massive MAC makeup stash into something earth friendlier yet, though I am trying... |

Hi michelle411! as far as i know, when you point your mouse on the folder icon, it'll tell you if it's a new post/topic or not, other than that, i'm just as clueless |

The different coloured symbols are a quick means to be able to tell if you have already read the posts, if there are new posts etc. Just hold your mouse over each of the different colours and it will tell you what the colour means. |

Hello, been lurking for about a week, and thought I should officially introduce myself. I found this place while doing research on some of the items described in a brochure that accompanied my most recent Sephora order. Since then, I've bought an LED device, green cream, and am immersed in researching DIY creams. After spending all that money I'd like to be able to save some.
I am a northern Californian originally from the midwest, currently looking for a job in a market where 30 is considered old (at some Silicon Valley companies, the limit is closer to 25). I don't expect to look young but would like to appear reasonably well-preserved. Think I can deduct my new acquisitions as business expenses?!?
This is a big place and I am looking forward to exploring it. |

hi there!
im from pennsylvania and am a starving med student
i found the forum when we learned about prostaglandin analogues being used to grow eyelashes and well.. since im obsessed with stuff like that, i ended up here after some research.
it seems like there are so many stuff here to keep me pretty busy for awhile and everybody seems so friendly.
i was initially interested in only lash growing but i think im going to look around some more and see if i get into anything else
nice to meet you all!

Wow- I think I am in love with everyone on this forum. So much great info! I am a licensed Esthetician (not practicing) and am amazed by the level of knowledge and research by some folks on here.
I seem to be following the trend with newbies having a hard time remembering to de-lurk, as there's so much to read through. Now I have to start putting money in my piggy bank to buy every single good thing I read about...... |

The more you hang out on here and read about products, the more it'll sink in. Then.... you'll start buying and trying things that others have raved about. That's when you'll be in trouble- because you'll see firsthand the difference between drugstore and professional products! |
