I've been lurking for about three years and finally registered to be part of the community. What can I say, I'm obsessed. I'm 30, with lifelong battles with acne, and now I'm dealing with aging on top of it. I'm see-through because I avoid the sun, and am into gadgets and DIY. Just trying to be the best looking self I can be! |

I'm a returning ghost from the past.
If anybody can let me know if vonstella, bluesheart, manslayerliz, candy, arielle, or paristroika are still around or here in new form, I'll be grateful. Also grateful to anyone telling them hello from me.
Thanks,
Melanie Haber, aka alibabka |

Hi Spooky,
Sorry couldn't resist, sadly haven't seen any around lately that you mentioned. People do take breaks and pop back in though, so there is hope.
Welcome Back Melanie Haber, aka alibabka! |

I've been an off and on lurker for years...Did the full Obagi due to this site about four years ago. Recently came back and took the plunge and registered. I have been using retin a for four years...love that stuff! Just got a 1mm dermaroller(which I did last night) and ordered Kandis' Lip 2 kiss lipcare system as I am *now* a former Chapstick addict. I'm 44, not wrinkled, some sun damage which has made me mottled (should have religiously worn sunscreen after my Obagi treatment), and always researching ways to keep myself looking good! Looking forward to continuing to read experiences from the vast wealth of knowledge on this site and hoping to add my two cents when appropriate... |

I'm thrilled to see that my obsession with anti-aging gadgets is shared by so many others as I thought I was alone in my * spam alert *.
I'll be 49 in November, my plastic surgery addicted sister is 43, and I refuse to go down that path, preferring instead to find a less invasive approach to prevent the dreaded hands of time from creeping up on me. Plus, I flat out refuse to inject poison into my face. So when I read reviews about products from the forum that people have successfully tried, I'm a sucker....I admit it. I have to one. Just yesterday, after seeing the AMAZING results that Toby had with her Safetox, I ordered one. I can add it to my collection: STOP, POSE, NuFace, Palovia, dermaroller, Crystalift Microdermabrasion, Neckline Trimmer and a few others I probably tucked away and forgot about. Now I have to figure out a routine to use them all!
Thank you all for letting me know I'm not alone in my journey for the "fountain of youth"

I'd also like to hear from others what your daily beauty rituals are and how you incorporate your gadgets into your morning/evening routines. |

I love this site!! I wish I would have found it afew years ago, id have a lot more money and better skin=)
I'm a 30 yr male from louisiana where the humidity is horrible.
I have oily skin, bigger pores than I like, starting to get crows feet, acne is cystic which is prob hormonal.
So far I've started OCM with castor and olive oil. I tried a few asprin masks but did them too often resulting in irrating my skin in some spots.
I can't wait till my EOs come in. I'm hooked I love DIYing my own product. It goes so well with my frugalness.
Thanks to everyone that contributes!! |

I've been lurking this forum since my obsession of tanning creams took over my life a year ago. Since I had horrible skin, tanning cream always turned out atrocious and finally made me come to a realization, its not the self-tanner that's bad ITS MY DRY, SENSITIVE, HORRIBLE SKIN!!!! Since reading this forum my skin has made a 180 and tanning cream now goes on my skin all most flawlessly. So i decided to show my gratitude by signing up to the forum :P |

Hi, I have a feeling I am doing this wrong, but I found this web site by using my search. Then I went through the steps to sign in and can't find the original thread I wanted to participate in. I have small white bumps (3) under my eye and just recently 3 more appeared at the side of my nose. I am 53 and have never had acne or any skin problems. My skin Dr. had not idea what they were and he had his assistant lance and drain them 3 weeks ago, now 3 of them are tiny blue dots and the ones under my eye were almost gone, but now are back just as they were before. It is not acceptable to have these on my face and I have no idea what to do. If the Doctor does not know what they are I feel hopeless... please put my post in the right area and help me find some info about this. TY and I will add pictures if I can. Thank you so much |

Hi Swede, these spots you are talking about might be millia? Here's the relevant wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milium_%28disease%29
To get back on topic: Hello everyone! I've been reading this forum for quite a while, since I have my own skin issues that I've been struggling with, mainly inflammatory rosacea and acne. I'm really glad to be in the company of skin care enthusiasts and I'd like to thank eveyone who has shared their personal knowledge in order to build this wonderful forum! |

Hi, I'm 50 and have been reading this forum for a few months now, and I have really learned a lot! I have lines, some sagging setting in, large pores and all the other nice things age gives you. It may give character to a face and all that, but I'd rather do without for the time being. So I'm a chick on a mission - and very glad I found this forum because it's packed with information and lots of experience. |
