I didn't like SkinMedica at all - I didn't see results after several months of use. I've switched to Skinceuticals C E Ferulic serum and had much better results. My skin has cleared up quite a bit, so for me, it's thumbs down to SkinMedica! |

Hands down THE best Vitamin C for me. I have tried so many of them only to break out with tiny bumps or was irritated, underwhelmed, etc., so I had sworn off C. (I think I even started a post about not using it anymore that got very long...). But then I read a review here (what else is new ) and decided to give it ONE more try. I'm so glad I did. It is EXCELLENT. No breakouts, bumps, irritation....just soft, hydrated skin with a soft glow. I am a HUGE fan and will buy this again and again. Finally, a C I can sing about. For reference, here is a partial list of some I've tried:
Skinceuticals C + Ferulic, Janson/Beckett C&C, IS Clinical Super Serum, Cellex C, SkinDoctors Vitamin C, PSF Vitamin C
I know there's more....but those are what I can remember at the moment.

Again I guess it's an individual thing. I wonder if it has to do with whether your oily or dry/sensitive. |

Will it oxidize easily?? I am using BICELLE vitamin C & whitening serum...it turns into more and more brown. I worry it will hurt my skin. But the box state that it's no problem for the change in color....i doubt |

My SkinMedica C Complex was as white as snow when I finished the tube four months after opening. |

There are several great C serums used by many of us that are completely stable. So there's no reason at all to use a serum that goes brown, no matter what assurances you get from the seller, in my opinion. |

I read that the suggested instructions was to use SkinMedica Vit C after apply TNS recovery Complex. To those using it, it is necessary? or Can i Skip the recovery complex? |

You can definitely skip SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex. I believe the manufacturer just want to point out that the recovery complex goes on first if you utilizes both of them (and of course they would like you to buy both). |

Thanks for reply.
According to the description of TNS Recovery Complex, it helps to improve the appearance of age spots and dyspigmentation. Do u know? Or hv u tried it and how it compares to the Vit C in term of brightening effect and lightening spots? |

I have not been using this or other products containing human growth factors.
SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex contains human growth factors and cytokines, and according to the blog Futurederm, there seems to be promise in using these ingredients in conjunction to reduce wrinkling, increase dermal thickness and increase skin smoothness. However, on this stage, these ingredients are apparently not studied well enough to be generally accepted as potent anti-aging ingredients.
This is Futurederm's verdict on SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex, Nov 2007:
Looks promising so far, but expensive, and hardly any published double-blind placebo-controlled independent research studies proving the effectiveness of its ingredients.

To be honest, I'm the person who believes the price very much. This one is much higher than Skinceuticals C E... |

I used the TNS Recovery complex - before joining EDS and didn't know any better. After being on here for a year and what I've learned about other options I would not spend for it again.
I thought it was a good product, but there are many other options that I feel have worked better and for less cash!
Due to the reviews here I bought the skin medica C product off Ebay to try out since I just ran out of my last Candescence triple C but not going to get the TNS Recovery complex to go with it.
Most companies want to sell you the whole line of products to "go together". I've found - in general - it is not necessary to do this.
I will let you all know what I think of the skin medica C - I am starting today!. Glad to know it does not oxidize. |

I have been using this complex for less than a month and really pleased with it. It makes my dry skin feel very soft and velvety after applying, I think it is also a fantastic make up base because of the silicone in it. My one thumbs down is the price ($$$) and less than a month into the bottle I feel that it might be close to gone, I am using there one pump a day recommendation but if it only lasts 1 month for $100, I may not be repurchasing. |

Hi, evenet! You will find lots of recommendations here for vitamin C serums that are stable. I can personally attest to Vivier and Cellularskin-rx being extremely stable, and that PSF's vitamin C was not. Some people here who have had problems with vitamin C causing blackheads have been happy with Skinmedica, which is also reported to be highly stable.
A search here on "Vitamin C" and "stable" will get you many people's experiences. Good luck, and let us know your results when you pick a product to try. |

crazyforclooney..you have said it best, I've mentioned it on the qvc board no replies, it's ok maybe someone will find out and 'get it' as we do here that a 'c' serum must be in a great delivery system as this has in it and it also must have an E in it which is vital or it is really not effective as an antioxidant! plus it's a pump airtight...right on !!
I though I'd breakout or react if it had a slip to it like a silicone, in no way has this happened and my skin heals from any redness and glows the next day after using it...long term use is showing.
I have to say to people if you may not know directions say use at night, many don't use it this way but I do beleive it says this because in daylight it breaks down (degrades)
I love it and I incorporate it w/my Actifirm regime.
I started my love for this with samples on ebay now buy it every sale there is |

I think Skinceuticals C E was more money.
I used to use it liked it that but it turned too quickly...or I rec'd it darker and on too many ocasions so I gave up on it (wish they'd put it in something airtightduh!.
Skinmedica requires [for myself a small bit, one pump for my face/neck which glides on and goes far and lasts me quite awhile - I buy it now only on sales days at sites so it's a great deal. Skinceuticals C E also turned color on me in a short while so if I was 1/4th the way through the bottle..I know it has oxidized and this is not good for efficacy no matter what they say from the company it can act as a pro-oxidant or something like that I've read...that's all I needed to hear to buy it no longer as well as turning fast.
It's a waste of money in the long run I feel but I like what's in it. |
