I love Dr Lipp Nipple Cream, it is fabulous because:
1. It healed my chronically dry lips within a day
2. It gives my lips a beautiful, lasting sheen
3. It is completely non-sticky
4. It has no discernable scent
I have tried many lip balms, none of which I love more than this one:
- Elizabeth Arden 8-hr Cream: Great but the smell makes me want to throw up after prolonged usage
- Malin & Goetz Lip Moisturiser: Nice packaging but a bit sticky, plus did not heal my lips
- Smith's Rosebud Salve: Did not do much for my lips, too heavily scented for my taste, do not like the tub packaging which gets contaminated each time I dip my fingers in
- Shizen Conditioning Lip Gloss (Australian brand): Liked that it was organic, the lemony scent was refreshing but got to be a bit sickly sweet, don't like the tub packaging which is too small for my finger to get tothe bottom
- Kiehls Lip Balm: Like the packaging & SPF, but did not experience great results
- Philosophy Kiss Me Lipbalm Clear: I liked this a lot, but prefer the Dr Lipp which is a bit less sticky
I'm sure I have tried more but can't remember them right now! |

haha... i love lip balms... i'm a bit of a junkie myself!
my favourites so far have been Kiehl's (of course!), Bobbi Brown's SPF15 lip balm, Lucas Paw Paw (although I read somewhere that they're not as "natural" as they claim to be)...
There are a few brands which are a little bit more obscure and the names slip my mind at the moment.. but i'm sure y'all over there in the US can indulge a little bit more on different brands as compared to us here in Malaysia!!
Ooh, jurlique's lip balm is good too |

I've been using - for over a year now - a lip balm made by a lady who sells her products on eBay. (Not the one who keeps popping up and asking if anyone has tried her **** products because she has "heard they are very good" but another who shall remain publicly nameless.) She puts Matrixyl and honey in it and it smells like heaven. What impresses me is that it seems to work better on my lips than any of the brand products. It's very "thin" for a solid wax and seems to melt right into the skin of my lips. As a second choice, I rather like Rosebud Salve. |

Mine is LipIce Colour Changeable (the fragrance-free one) which would give my lips a nice sweet pinkish hue. Then I would put Smith's rosebud salve over it to give the colour a nice glossy sheen. And my lips would remain moist and soft throughout the day!
I am planning to try other Rosebud salve's products! |

I just purchased Yes To Carrots C Me Smile Lip Butter in Berry. I have to say I'm really loving this balm. My lips feel much more hydrated! This balm seems to stick with me. I don't have to keep replying it over and over again. |

I use L'Occitane 100% shea butter. I put it in an old lip balm tube. |

Just a note to those using Loccitane you can buy 100% pure Shea butter from many sources WAY CHEAPER. A few sites that sell are:
http://www.makingcosmetics.com
http://www.mountianroseherbs.com
if it is still a little "gritty" I just melt it gently and put in lip tubes, pots. For larger containers old body butter tubs.
Saves me a fortune and you can add EO's for benefits and yummy smells if desired. Just add the EO's when it is barely warm right before dispensing into desired container. |

But Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream really contain some unsafe ingrediant that can not be eaten, so I advise you why not try the EA 8 HOUR LIP STICK? I think both of them must contain some effect ingrediant the same. |

I used to swear by EA eight hour cream, but when I cut petrol products out stopped using it. You can buy un petroleum jelly or make your own then add more or less beeswax to get the consistency you want add other actives ect. There is a recipe posted in DIY section already. |

elizabeth arden eight hour cream and Eight Hour Lipcare Stick SPF15!! It relieves chapped lip dramatically with no greasy feeling. I tried at least 20 brands of lip balms and will not change lip balm again. |

Ingredients from packaging: PETROLATUM 56.8%,LANOLIN, MINERAL OIL, FRAGRANCE, SALICYLIC ACID, PROPYLPARABEN, CASTOR OIL, CORN OIL, TOCOPHEROL, BHT, IRON OXIDES
above are the ingredients for Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream.
Not that much good stuff and way too much bad and pricey! IMHO
