Oh good Toby! thanks for the link!

I go back and forth between FE and Ageless and I've discovered that for me Ageless builds cheeks better. Anyone notice this as well?

I'm looking forward to seeing the DVD cuz I'm new to the exercises & it doesn't feel as if I'm doing them right.

Does anyone have a coupon code for the DVD? The shipping costs to Canada are more than the price of the DVD. Surprised

Hi Stovetop, at the shipping click the arrow and select "economy" and that works out to about $9. shipping to Canada. I did that and sorry I saw the coupon thing but don't have a code.

Thanks Truffles - I have no problem paying $35.00 for the DVD but am totally anal when it comes to paying $17.95 for Shipping and the DVD is only $16.95. I have been doing Agless if You Dare for a few months now and have settled into a consistent routine with the program especially when I started to see such wonderful results in my check area.

I have TMJ and I am concerned facial exercise other than the facial stimulators will not do my problem any good. What do you think? Jackie

Jackie. that is a valid concern. There are certain exercises you would want to stay away from and most exercise programs will alert you to which ones to avoid. Anything that moves the jaw forward/backward or side to side would be contraindicated, especially against resistance.

Hi Jaclyn - Maybe I can help. I am in dentistry - teach now at a college and have experience with TMJ specialists. I see no problem with Ageless in the realm of creating or aggravating TMJ difficulty. I do both Ageless and Flex Effect and avoid specific exercises from FE due to this reason (I have also had TMJ difficulty).

Ageless exercises in my personal experience and professional opinion are not conducive to aggravation of a TMJ disorder. I have done FE for almost a year and Ageless for approximately 5 months. Hope this helps you in your decision.

Hi Jackie,

There is only one exercise I know of in Loulou's Ageless program that could aggravate your TMJ. It's one of the extra exercises she recommends doing occasionally. It builds the temporalis and masseter muscles, which add fullness to your face. I do it a couple times a week, because I want more fullness. You'd still get great results from Ageless if you don't do it at all though.

Of course I'm not the expert. I recommend you visit her forum. LouLou is there to answer questions as well as many knowledgeable members.

JaclynS,

the forum for Ageless is louiseannette.proboards.com...very informative..you can ask Loulou your question here..and although she doesn't respond everyday..she does eventually respond to all questions addressed to her on the forum.

the home page for Ageless is louiseannette.co.uk

Also...

this is my personal experience with jaw issues and Ageless:

Although i've never been diagnosed with tmj..and have no awareness of problems with my jaw other than with facial exercises..I have had difficulties with all facial exercises programs i have begun over the years, including Ageless..(and this is with all cheek and jaw exercises from all programs i've ever tried.. resulting in jaw cracking and pain)

in the past i've just given up on facial exercising, but because i really resonate to Loulou and her beauty/ageless philosophy i have kept with her program since mid-December by 'tweaking' it a bit to eliminate any jaw discomfort.

Until last month I did all the exercises together...except for the once a month exercises...and skipped 2 days (instead of 1) to do them again..so I still got in the 2 times a week protocol that is the minimal amount Loulou suggests for progress (usually if you do all the exercises in one day you would only skip 1 day instead of 2 before doing them again).

Also I alternated the cheek and neck exercises(all of which 'aggravated' my jaw) with the eye exercises, the lip exercise etc... which didn't affect my jaw.

This eliminated jaw discomfort for me.

Now I can do the exercises every other day without jaw discomfort..and I can do most of the cheek exercises without needing to alternate them with eye, lip, etc. exercises...

so the exercises are definitely strengthening rather than debilitating my jaw..

.but i did need to be careful at first.

What great feedback! I went ahead and ordered the book. Even if I can not do some of the facial exercise I can also work on my mouth area etc. Kind of spot tone if you will. Has anyone ever done this and if so did you still get results??

I just received the book and read it from cover to cover and am like alot of you who need a visual of the exercise being done so I just ordered the DVD and can't wait to receive it. I have oily skin so it is hard for me to hold the skin in a pinch as well so I am going to try a little bit of honey on my fingers to see if that will give me a better grip. Has anyone viewed the DVD yet?? Is it like the book?

I really jumped yesterday, right in to debt I mean. This is a little bit off topic but I purchased the Quasar SP instead of the Baby Q because the SP has a ten year warrenty compared to the one year on the Baby Q. At any rate this device is very expensive but credit cards are sooo easy to use. Bad Girl am I!!!

Jaclyn, I highly recommend wearing thin cotton gloves to do the exercises, like these:
http://www.pcbsupplies.com/servlet/the-33/White-Lisle-Inspection-Gloves/Detail

They're very inexpensive and after a session I just wash them (while still on my hands) with a gentle hand soap, rinse well in cold water, squeeze out & hang dry for the next session.

Or you could go even cheaper than that and use a square of toilet paper to squeeze your muscles through, as someone else cleverly suggested earlier on in (I think) this thread - can't remember who came up with that idea but it's a good one!

Lou's dvd is well worth the purchase. She explains and demonstrates all exercises and then has a section that you can do them with her. It is short sweet and to the point. I give it five stars,I realized several points that I hadn't noticed before.

I'm glad she's done a DVD for Ageless. It will help people see exactly how the movements are done.

I have been doing ageless for about 3 months now, and it's made a huge improvement in my n/l lines, under eye hollows, and tightening up under my chin area.

It's a great program, and I am so glad I found it here!
