Those are the ones for sure. I didn’t want to put them here without permission, so thanks for that. I know this came up before re the sheet, and several people checked their stuff and said they didn’t have the same recommendation, but I know a friend here in the UK ordered last month and she got the sheet, so who knows whats going on. I am wondering whether Carole is going to include NLL stuff in her new book when it comes out (though I’m hoping its not a year away like the FlexEffect new book – although it looks like it might be). Do you know anything about the date of the new book yet Aprile?

Hi Theresa Mary,
I emailed Carole and she told me the supplements you mentioned were the Vitamin C Ester, All One Powered Multi Vitamins, and a product called Synergy. She said that the thing that would speed results though would be the no carbs after 5 pm recommendation. I probably discarded my sheet and others may have done the same, but everyone gets one. If someone didn't, it may have been that the person fulfilling the orders forgot to include the sheet, but it is standard procedure. Take care, Aprile |

Theresa,
Actually, I recently asked her about that and she said the Ultimate Facercise book will be released in the UK first. I think it will be sometime this summer. For some reason, it will be released later in the US. Not sure why the publishers do that. Not sure about a No Lipo Lipo book, but I'd guess that is probably the next book to come out.
Take care,
Aprile |

Well ladies...I received my Facercise and No Lipo DVDs today (it came really quickly)and got straight down to it. I did the body brushing, which was fine-then hubby took over for the massage....Yow!!! Either he's very heavy handed or I have a low pain threshold! Probably a bit of both actually. Also, I think it's really exhausting. I can see me ending up with biceps like Madonna at this rate!! But even though I know I'll be black and blue tomorrow I somehow feel better and my skin is soooo soft! I'm not planning on buying any particularly expensive oils at this stage so do you all reckon ordinary baby oil is OK?[url] |

Hi Daydreamer,
Glad to hear you received your order so quickly. As for what you use for the NLL massage ~ it really doesn't matter. Last time I used Neutrogena sesame seed oil and that worked great. Any oil will do the trick! Remember, if you bruise easily you can always take powdered Vitamin C Ester to avoid that. If you have any questions with NLL or Facercise, just ask. Best wishes, Aprile |

Thanks a lot Aprile-no doubt I will have questions as I go along. By the way, how long do you think it will take before I see any improvement? |

Daydreamer,
It will definitely take a few weeks to notice the improvements. But, if you keep at it and also help it along eating healthy, perhaps even limiting your carbs after 5 pm (can increase cellulite AND make the skin puffy), you will see results. I notice that my skin is smoother and more lifted just dry brushing every day, but when I add the NLL massage, it really looks so much better. The aging process is not fun, but at least there is something we can do about it. I will be happy when the weather gets warmer so that I can go out for a walk/run before work. By the time I come home it's pitch black! As for the arms, it is quite the workout! My arms are very well toned by doing the NLL routine alone. Honestly, it's like weight lifting for me. Plus, the dry brushing and massage does tone the muscles. All good. Best wishes to you, Aprile |

You say all the right things Aprile! I am giving the massage a miss today but have done the brushing and I feel like there is a tiny improvement already, and when I was showing my husband my bruises (!) he said he thought they looked better. Even if it's just our imagination it will keep me spurred on anyway. I must get started on the Facercise now! |

Daydreamer,
That's good that you have noticed some improvement already. That will spur you on! Same thing applies when using the Facercise program. Take notice of subtle results as that will also spur you on. If you need any help, just PM me because I will get the message right away and can respond. Take care, Aprile |

Also I really believe the supplements that Carole recommends speeds things up greatly. I was doing NLL for ages, and then finally caved in and bought them and swear they did magic within a few weeks to my skin noticeably (and not just my body skin but my facial skin too!). The supplements were the only thing different so it had to be them! |

Hi Theresa,
I truly believe the thing that speeds results the most is the no carbs after 5 pm recommendation. However, that being said, if you were difficient in any particular vitamin or nutrient, those supplements could very well help and you would notice a difference in your skin. The All-One Multi vitamins and the Synergy product are both very high-quality nutritional supplements and also more readily absorbed because they are in a powder form. However, both are pretty expensive and not everyone can spring for them. I also don't want women to think that you absolutely need them to be successful with NLL because that is simply not the case. I am attaching a link to an article on NLL that appeared on line as it is gaining a lot of interest lately as obviously, this is a common problem we women share Scroll down to read the article under Crunch Time it also includes a link to the product. Well as I said originally I did the NLL and the no carbs and whilst it did give me results, they werent anything near to what I achieved when I tried the supplements which is why I mention it.
I am not deficient in any vitamin or mineral and my hormones are balanced, so I'm not sure you can say its a deficiency as I get regular blood work done to ensure these things are not at fault (having had unbalancedness in my early 50's).
I'm sure people will get results (as I did) but if they are really wanting dramatic results then I'm not sure they can achieve that solely with just following your guidelines, sorry but thats just my experience and other friends who have done the same as me have reported the same and so I think its wise for me to share that feedback with people here, even if you don't approve its helpful to have multiple feedback I figure.

Absolutely - but what I said was "if you were difficient in any particular vitamin or nutrient, those supplements could very well help and you would notice a difference in your skin." It's all good and sharing your personal experience is helpful. But, they are not key to the program. As I said, not everyone can afford all those supplements. So what I want them to realize is that if they don't use them, they will still experience results. |

Hi Aprile
I was hoping I could ask you a question. I'm ramping up my NLL routine, as I've been on and off with it but nonetheless notice a significant difference. I'm following Carole's recommendation of not eating carbs after 5 pm, except that I don't eat at all after 5 pm (well, most of the time). Does Carole have a recommendation for the optimal time of day to do NLL? For example, does it make more sense to do it first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach? Or does it make sense to do it last thing at night, since we are about to go to sleep and hence the healing/repair work will get started right away after the NLL session? I have flexibility in my schedule right now, so wanted to know if there is an optimal time of day to do it to optimize the results. Thanks in advance! |

Hi CM ~ I really don't think it matters that much. I know that Carole herself splits her routine by dry brushing in the am and performing the nll massage in the evening. Of course, the no carbs after 5 pm definitely assists in the process. You don't need to stop eating after 5 pm- just try to make sure it is high-quality protein and veggies you are eating. She even suggests snacks like celery or low fat cheese after 5 pm. I don't believe the time of the day matters much at all, you will still see results. HTH, Aprile |

I have a question....If I dry brush before my bath my legs tingle and burn somewhat when I get into the tub. Does anyone have that issue and if so how have you resolved it? |

Hi Toby,
Do you happen to live in a cold climate and is the heat on all the time in your home? Also, are you using hot water to soak in? Remember, when you are dry brushing you are opening up the pores and if your skin is drier because of the scenario I mentioned above, sitting it a hot tub could make your skin more sensitive. I know my skin is sooo dry and itchy right now, but I live in the Northeast and the winter has been very cold and I have noticed my skin is more senstive overall. Aprile |

My skin is not dry at all....this is an issue regardless of the temp.(summer or winter) it is just the roughness of the dry brushing and then going into a tub of warm water. Can't change the warm bath.....I need the relaxation of the warm bath and I am not a shower person at all. Also the warm bath at night helps me get sleepy....I can be a night owl. So I may be answering my own question...dry brushing may have to be a morning activity when I am not going to be getting into a tub. I hope that is not the answer because mornings are so crazy that there isn't time to do it. |

Toby,
Yes, I think the dry brushing is what is causing the problem because you are opening up the pores and exfoliating the skin as well. So while your skin is not dry, introducing the warm water may make it feel more sensitive. I would say switch to AM dry brushing. Btw, I have found that if I place the other hand on top of the gloved hand, it makes it go quicker for the legs. I timed myself and even doing 60 scrubs on the arms and legs, and addressing the other areas as well only takes me 5 mins. The trick is doing it briskly and quickly. Sometimes you need to position yourself in a certain way to be able to do this, but it is worth experimenting so that it doesn't take so long. HTH, Aprile |

Speaking of No Lipo Lipo and something else that also helps tighten menopausal skin, has anyone seen this photo in Carole Maggio's' latest newsletter? I am not so good at this, but I am going to give it a shot and try to post the photo here. This is a before and after photo of one of her client's arms when using the Body Lift product. The client wrote these were her results after just one treatment. Looks pretty impressive to me. Diane

Hey Toby,
Because I was curious as to what she'd say....I emailed Carole. She said you should try again at night. Just put oil directly on your skin before you take the bath. See if that helps, and let us know!!! Take care, Aprile |

I haven't been on EDS in a while. My job schedule keeps me so busy, I rarely get the time to post here. I have been doing the NLL body dry brushing for a while (no cellulite just for overall skin glow and lifting). After all of holiday overindulging I decided to add the massage part just to see if it would "sculpt" my body more since I don't get out for a run much. The area I was most concerned about is my thighs. They were always very toned and tight but since I stopped running regularly ~ they were getting flabby. I wanted to tell everyone that it really does work. Yes, I am young and so my results came pretty quickly. But, women should know that this is a great option for those pressed for time. Then, as I'm posting I got so excited to see my mom's photo posted here! I knew she was sending a picture to Ms. Maggio, but I never thought it would be "published" I am so excited to see that someone actually posted it here too. That product has worked wonders for her and she no longer complains about the crinkly skin on her arms. Best, Elygirl |
