Very interesting Tiny. The programme can be watched here:
http://m.cbsnews.com/postwatch.rbml?pageType=video&cbsID=7394380
I also reported recently that doctors in Australia issued a warning about travelling overseas for stemcell therapy. They state that although they believe stemcells to be the future of medicine, at this moment in time, these treatments are mostly a scam. |

Thanks for posting that, Tiny. That is really scary. I think it is horrible how these scam artists pray on people's hopes. It is all about the money (which sounds an awful lot like the skin care scams, doesn't it?). |

It is awful and while this is for serious illness and people are ordering these to help "save someones life" and I know were talking skincare and not illness, I just think one should know where their products are coming from, nothing says skincare companies can't be ordering from this fraud too. Also this Dr. is still called a Dr., even though he no longer holds a valid U.S. license. I think thats awful, if you can't practice why be allowed to allow others to think you know what your talking about, or that you can help, and potentially save their childs life (in this case) chalk that up to the good old american way, going to school gives you the title not the license, sad. |

Well, that's also the case with DrJ - he too has lost his license to practice in California.
It's probably important to remember, though, that the stemcell serums don't actually contain any stemcells - just the conditioned growth media. So we're probably not comparing apples with apples. |

Well actually lost license to practice in the U.S., you don't just lose it in ONE state, but the state your licesned in holds the records. Otherwise they'd just hop over to the next state and carry on.
That said, I think knowing where these guys are getting their product from kinda important now, otherwise were just putting garbage on our faces and being conned. Even if they are making their own product, nothing says were still not being conned, although I am seeing results.
all so confusing....
They have to use REAL stem cells to get the conditioned media to grow and reproduce. |

I just watched the 60 minutes segment...there were a number of interesting parallels with the topical stem cell products. No published journal articles, no real clinical studies. Hmmm.
Editing to add: that comment is not specific to RL. I just posted in response to the above comments, but don't want anyone to think I am picking at RL. At least they have some Visia results! |

Thanks for the clarification, I was wondering if that was the case. |

Post away, no one thinks you are, I posted it first, just interesting at what they said. I am seeing results from RL but all that makes one think about them all. |

A while back Kassy_A posed a link to the Lifeline patent on the Lifeline reveiw thread. It's really worth taking a look at because it describes, in detail, the steps to making the extract and also gives the exact proportions of the other actives in the serum. It's pretty detailed, but it lays out the total process.
I think there are plenty of ways to short cut this stuff, but for anyone interested in exactly what the secret sauce might contain, here it an example.

Lifeline is def one we know were their ingredients are coming from. RL uses thier own labs. After seeing this show, if I don't know what lab they are using, I wouldn't buy it. So many could be mail ordering from any lab. Apparently anyone can order this ingredient if they have the cash, prob is what are they getting. |

I must say I am loving how my skin looks and feels. I do think a less expensive way to continue on this product is to continue with just the cream. The first ingredient is the sc and its more a cream/serum. I do think one could achieve same results, might just take a bit longer, or might not. I think I saw 1.7 oz for $85.00, thats workable vs. hundreds for serum. Just a thought |

Decisions, decisions...
I've been using the Cellese AnteAGE serum and accelerator. They seem to help my eye area, but nothing does much around the lips. I'm thinking of trying the Reluma serum since my AnteAGE serum is almost gone.
I still have a bottle of the AnteAGE accelerator. I was planning to use it over the Reluma serum. Anyone tried this already? Or have concerns on that combo?
Also, anyone order from AVEYOU Beauty boutique? I'm considering getting this pack, with serum, cleanser and samples of the moisturizer and eye serum. http://www.amazon.com/ReLuma-Exclusive-AVEYOU-Cosmetics-Bag/dp/B008UURC58/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&qid=1346620479&sr=8-21&keywords=Reluma
Or is there a better deal you've seen elsewhere recently? |

I do love RL, but I would not buy that one, the big bottle is the cleanser, while we all love it, I don't think its worth that money. Since you still have some of the AA, something worth trying might be this new stuff Keliu and Toby are using, the before and afters are amazing. Then when done with all of one product switch to one you choose. That way your not mixing them, some have wondered if thats a good idea, I am not sure either way.
opps eda the link for the other product:

Thanks Tiny. I was actually skipping the Nerium AD thread because of the MLM aspects. Guess I'd better reconsider...off to do some reading! |

My oh My the stem cell skincare industry is just exploding! I go away from EDS for a week and there are 20 new products that everyone is raving about. My head is spinning.
For clarification's sake, can anyone tell me if SkinMedica has its own lab or not? That report is making me really nervous. I have a very large bottle of TNS serum that I just opened and it will take me months to use it, and I want to be certain it's okay.
I'm so glad we have this resource to share information, so we can (hopefully, eventually) make informed decisions.
Thanks!

Avalange, I honestly would not worry about TNS. SkinMedica has been around a long time and is very reputable. |

Agreed....it is the newer ones that are far more concerning. |

Oh, good!
I am relieved because I really like the TNS serum (I scored a couple of bottles for free).
When I'm out, hopefully the juries will have decided for me what's next. Thanks for being staunch and fearless testers, ladies.
Right now I am leaning ReLuma.

I am not sure about Lifelife, but I do know RL has been out for years. That makes me feel safer. |

Just an update, I took a week break and restarted my program, omg my skin missed using this product!! I could feel the firming again and my skin just looks better when using this than it does when I am not. Now I did not look awful without it, nor did I AGE, but I needed more products, skin felt drier. I missed the cleanser the most, after I wash my face it still feels so moist after using this.
Now that I have been on this for months and months, I have noticed my skin just looks younger. Hard to really explain. I will be 50 very very very soon and I do not think I look 50 when I stand in front of my mirror. hopefully I am not just delusional! |
