Palmer's Daily Facial Lotion SPF 15:
Image

I used this lotion for a little over 3 months. Here's my experience:

I discovered this product while browsing through Walmart's facial care section. It claims to deeply moisturize and nourish skin. It also contains peptides, which purportedly help the skin look youthful. This product also has Vitamin E, milk proteins, cocoa butter, shea butter, and evening primrose oil, as well as an SPF of 15. I bought it because of all its ingredients.

The consistency is neither thick nor thin, but the product does feel slightly greasy. It also leaves a minor shine after it's massaged in the skin. The lotion itself is white, and it has a faint fragrance that is hard to describe. I did not like nor dislike the fragrance for it was neither pleasant nor unpleasant. The packaging was fair; it comes in a run-of-the-mill white, plastic tube with an orangish cap. Although I’m glad that it comes in a tube and not a jar (which is notorious for harboring germs), I wonder if the thin, white plastic will help its ingredients stable. I think that using thicker plastic and a darker color might have been better.

I used Palmer’s facial lotion for 3 months. I try to use new products for several weeks, if not months, in order to give them a fair chance.

All in all, I would not recommend this lotion to a friend. It irritated my skin, and it really didn’t hydrate as well as I would have liked. Despite containing sunscreen, my skin actually darkened while using this. I suspect that the hyperpigmentation was my skin’s response to the irritation. I would have stopped using it sooner, but I was determined to give this product a fair chance. I think that the sunscreen was partly responsible for the irritation. I'm increasingly starting to suspect that my skin hates chemical sunscreens.

I didn’t notice any improvement whatsoever in my skin while using Palmer's Daily Facial Lotion. I would not repurchase.

Not really a fan of Palmers since in my opinion they use deception to market their products, their butters and lotions are bog standard silicone and a small percent of shea butter... It amazes me how they can call it cocoa butter.

I do like their products with AHAs though since its hard to find them where I am.

Do you also feel negatively about their stretch mark products? I thought those products were good, but please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Getting the right sunscreen is definitely a process of elimination through trial and error.

As you have found, a lot of people have problem with Chemical sunscreen filters.
