Hello everyone, this is my very first post here! I've been lurking for a while and am using many of the DIY tips I've seen here, including Kassy's 15% CEF cream, which I started using about a month ago and I love it.
I'm 46 and am just starting to notice some sagging around my mouth, causing the corners of my mouth to droop downward, and there's sagging from the corners of my mouth down toward my jawline.
Has anyone had any luck with a serum or cream recipe to help firm up this area?
Thanks so much in advance! |

I have the same problem. I've tried quite a few topicals over the years without much luck unfortunately.
Some people have results with DMAE which is supposed to help firm and tighten.
Other (non topical) options would include facial exercises, microcurrent and fillers. |

I don't think there are any creams that would give you the results you are looking for.
I would look into micro-needling, filler or RF skin tightening. or a combo of those! |

Thanks everyone---I'm going to look into dermarolling and/or maybe the Baby Quasar because I've heard good things about it in terms of firming.
Thanks! |

I just had my 2nd Micro-needling treatment at the dermatologist. I am 69 and my lower face has started to sag badly so I'm trying to fight it.
I think the Micro-needling is helping. I see slight differences. They use Hyuralonic Acid during the treatment. It helps to plump up the skin while the treatment is supposed to rebuild some collagen and elastin.
I have read about some people using the Dermaroller but I think it's better to do it at the derm's office as the tool they use goes from .5 to 2.5mm deep depending on what part of the face or neck they are working on. I think it would be difficult to do it effectively on yourself. But to each his own.
I am scheduled for 2 more treatments. My first was early Jan and I just had the 2nd yesterday. It does make my face very red the day of the treatment but it's much better by the next day. You can use makeup the next day.
A plastic surgeon I went to to have a Blethoplasty on my eyelids (Medicare paid for it) told me that Micro-needling, in his opinion, gave the "best bang for the buck".
I will let you know how I do after the next 2 treatments. I enjoy reading all your stories. |

| I agree with micro-needling. I've used tca peels and Skin Biology's copper peptides, which are very valuable, but after approximately a year and a half of derma rolling, things have tightened up considerably. People have even said, "You look great!" When does that happen? |

| I do once a week with a 0.5mm needle, and once a month with a 1.0mm needle. Any more than that is not recommended. |

Will change to dermaroll with smaller needles more often. |

It takes a while to see improvement. The next day, you may look better, more "plumped up," but that's just inflammation. It takes months for new collagen to build up. Even with ultherapy skin tightening at the doctors, for instance, it will take months to see results.
I'm also using a "home" version of RF Dot matrix - there's a thread already on it. The same theory applies, and results aren't seen for a while - I do get a tightening immediately after using it though. They're available on Amazon for about $90. The reviews are strange, because some people understand how to use it, and some don't, so you get one-star and four- and five-star reviews. It's an interesting device, and I think we'll see more of them - unless the FDA puts the brakes on them. I'd love to see a U.S. or Euro version of them.
These two things have helped a lot - no flabby cheeks any more. |

The RF dot matrix is similar to te Stop tripollar? I have the stop buy have not use if for a while.
I hope to see result soon from dermarolling, but will change to dermaroll the way you do, i think maybe doing it just once a month is not enough. |
