I have only been using the Active for about 2 weeks and I guess I have done 3 enzyme peels in that time and had no problem. If I start to see trouble I would probably turn my routine into a 5 night rotation rather than 4.
ie:
- now I do Active on nights 1,2,3 and Peel on 4 and then start again.

- but I could change to Active on nights 1 and 2, night 3 rest the skin, night 4 peel, night 5 rest the skin and then start again.

Originally I did not think my skin would tolerate Active virtually every night, but no problems thus far. I dont have any flaking either.

Morning:
Wash face with Alpha Hydrox Nourishing cleanser or Aveeno Ultra-Calming cleanser
Dermalogica Microfoliant
Dab on a bit of La Vitton Rejuvenating eye serum (this may seem like overkill to some people but I have *really* dry skin around my eyes)
Dab on Pond's Age DefEye eye cream (greatest DG eye cream ever) when the La Vitton has absorbed
Juice Organics Antioxidant serum
Zia Ultimate Oil-Free Moisture (awesome stuff)
A dab of Avocado oil, then Aquaphor on the lips and any super-dry patches
Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 55

Evening:
Remove eye makeup with Lumene Absolute Away
OCM (but if I don't have time for the whole routine, I just rub oil on my face anyway to remove the Shiseido sunscreen and remove with Burt's Bees Wild Lettuce Complexion soap)
Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream (not every night, though)
Swipe on apple cider vinegar toner
Roc Retinol Correxion eye cream
La Vitton Rejuvenating eye serum
Burt's Bees Royal Jelly eye cream w/ Aloe Vera (on my lids only)
Lumene Rejuvenating Lip Care
CityLips
Put Persagel or Nelson's Acne Gel (has sulfur) on blemishes, depending on what kind they are.
For a night face cream, I alternate RoC Retinol Actif Purif (Night) and Desert Essence Age Reversal Serum. Occasionally, when I feel the need for more exfoliation, I use Alpha Hydrox's AHA Souffle + the Desert Essence serum over it.

Nijey, what is your opinion of Roc Retinol Correxion eye cream? Do you see it having an effect around your eye? fine lines, loose skin, texture, milia, etc.?

I've been using the RoC eye cream for about a month now and have noticed that the fine smile lines at the outer corners of my eyes are less noticeable, even when I do smile. My dark circles also seem to be somewhat improved but perhaps that is just because I"m getting more sleep. I'd recommend you only use the RoC every other night or layer a moisturizing cream on top like I do or it might be too irritating.

PM:
Dermalogica Precleanse

Dermalogica Multi-Vitamin Power Firm Eye & Lip

Once A Week:

So, as you can see ... I've just recently gotten hooked on the Dermalogica product line. Smile I like the look of my skin (more hydrated and brighter ... I think), but I am getting more blackheads it seems. I wonder if maybe I'm putting TOO much on my skin?

I really think I have found a como that works. but who knows with me? I learn about something else and add that. But right now I feel like things are really happening with my skin since using this regimen:

DMAE to tighten- every AM and every other eve BEFORE ANYTHING GOES ON
I take Vitamin C orally 3 grams a day
copper peptides I use Super CP for face(every other night) and reg Night Eyes for eyes (nightly)-CPs and Vitamins C known to tighten skin
Revive products with Growth factors such as EGF and KGF-
Cellular Repair in the AM and Moisturizing Renewal (With 8% glycolic Acid)in PM
Volumizng Serum nigthly
Retin A 3 nights a week
Abrasion-Origins Modern Friction with Rice starch every other day-Really feel that the abrasion is making a BIG difference.

I just won the Revive Vitamin C on ebay for no more than anyone else pays for a Vitamin C product so I thought why not? It has a silicone "force field" in it to keep it in your skin for 12 hours and I like that idea. So I will try that but I still feel that taking it orally may be just fine.

I no longer use Hydroquinone or toners b/c Ihave so much going on, it may be too much. The Volumizing serum has lightening agents to keep the spots at bay anyway.

I use a Glycolic Clenser 3-4 nights a week and a reg gentle clenser on the other nights:Origins Crystal Clear

I do 50% Glycolic acid peels regularly.

I stay away from all the products with those newer peptides as I feel those are only VERY temp results and do nothing to change your skin, I mean really REMODEL your skin as the products I do use. Also stay away from "botox-like" products as they may do more damgage than good in the long run.

All I know iis that my crow's feet are almost gone one side and completely gone on the other, except when I smile of course. But they were very noticeable w/o even smiling before.

The lines above my lips are gone. In November I was trying to have Resty injections to remove them they were so bad.

I think the Copper Peptides, AHA and Abrasion are the key things that are transforming my skin. Everything else is working better then it did before because of them.

SeaChi Rose Geranium Face Wash
Thayers Rose toner or Dr. Hauschka Clarifying toner depending on how my skin is behaving.
SeaChi Creme with a few drops of Mayumi Squalane and Aubrey Sea Buckthorn oil.

Evening:

Right now I'm using up a tube of the Body Shop's peach scrub/cleanser.
Biologique Recherche P50 lotion
Juice Beauty Blemish Serum

Weekly:

Dr. Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask (usually on Sunday or Monday) 1x
Dr. Hauschka Clay Mask or QH Mint Julep 2x a week.

It worked for me for a few months but now I am starting to feel like the effect has worn off, and I am starting to see more wrinkles and loose skin around my eyes. I started to use a moisturizing eye cream and Vitamin C/Collagen serum over it too, but it hasn't improved... so now I am thinking of switching to something different. Either that or I am imagining these extra wrinkles.

I can be lazy so like to keep things ultra simple. Also, my routine changes depending on season and skin needs. So when I can remember to keep to my routine here it is:

AM
Primavera Exfoliating Cleanser or
Dr Huaschka Cleansing Cream

Primavera Toner or Dr Huaschka Toner or Hydrosol (usually Rose, or Roman Chamomile or my sepcial blend of florals and woods when I'm feeling creative or have stock of them)

Moisturizer Depending on needs:
Primavera Hydrating Cream or
Primavera Nourisihing Cream
or Dr Hauschka Rose cream
or Dr Hauschka Quince Cream
or Organic Rosehip oil

PM
Primavera Cleanisng Milk or
Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk

Toner(either line)

Rosehip Oil

WEEKLY
Hydrosol or Herbal Steam
Mask - lately I have been using some Eminence organic masks which I received samples of and they are ok but I prefer Dr Hauscka's masks. Usually I make my own with my base clays, hydrosols, base oils and essential oils and other natural goodies depending on my skin's needs.

And I'll admit, sometimes if I haven't been wearing makeup for days I skip cleansing all together (GASP!) but then I will give myself an intensive facial that week to make up for the days of abandonement. Sometimes I think the skin just needs to be and breathe on its own and rebuild it's natural insitinctive properties.

Morning:

Druide bar soap (I can't remember which one it is, and I was really resistant to using a bar on my face, but someone recommended it, and my skin wasn't happy with my cleanser at the time, so I went for it)
Dr. Hauschka facial toner
Dr. Hauschka rejeuvenating mask (I wear a light coat all day)

Evening:
Druide bar soap
Dr. Hauschka facial toner
Tea tree oil - if necessary, and if I can be bothered (I know some of you may be shocked that I would be ready to give up before product #3, but I always wonder if it actually does anything or not)

If my skin is really awful: Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Clay Mask

Here's a novel thought: nothing. Does anyone ever experiment with this very inexpensive, low-maintenance strategy?

My mother-in-law was visiting, she's about 60 with a lovely peaches-and-cream complexion, she's spent summers in the sun and probably smoked every now and then. And her advice to me was, when you're not in the sun, use: nothing! Women oftentimes don't need moisturizer, eye creams are a joke, vitamin C has very little scientific proof, over-exfoliation thins your skin, and all of the creams that everyone is talking about putting on their skins in the morning and at night prevent your skin from breathing and taking care of itself.

Does anyone ever step back and think about how you're manipulated by billion dollar cosmetics companies that convince you to spend tons of money on products you don't need?

I know, I know, sunscreen is important. Moisturizer can sort of give you a glow if you're skin is cracking. And maybe exfoliation brightens you up. But it seems that people really overdo it on a daily basis.

Just curious if anyone ever thinks about this-- cause everyone on this board seems to spend their paychecks on creams and such.

Ohhhh I've thought about it. My wallet and I have both done a lot of thinking about it, LOL. But, this is what I've noticed: If I get really sick and stop my routine, OR if I'm traveling and forget my toiletry bag and have to buy stuff last minute at a drugstore (it's happened more than once--- I've taken to keeping an emergency bag in the car...), within just a day or two my skin goes from clear and glowing to broken out, with clogged pores, blackheads, etc etc. I may spend a lot of skincare, but I honestly believe that it's worth every penny.
