I took a 2 month course of 120 tablets at the end of 2012. By the end of Jan 2013, the bottle was empty.
Looking at photos of myself in January my face looked chubby.
Shortly after in Feb I developed dark grooves along the tear duct area.
It is now May and I have lost all of the fat from my cheeks. My natural "apples" are completely gone.
I am incredibly distressed and am certain this product has done this to me. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Has anyone else come off this product and had a similar result? I am worried this is permanent. The difference in photos between now and last year is huge.
If anyone can shed some light on this please contact me as the company sure as hell wont. |

I have been using biosil for over a year with no adverse effects.
Have you made any other changes to your diet? |

I am so sorry for your experience.
What are the ingredients in Biosil? Is it just silicon and Choline or is there anything else?
I haven't tried it, but find it difficult to believe that it would cause such negative effects on your face(but you never know how different people will react to a product).
Can you tell us more about yourself. How old are you? What is your general health like? Do you wear sunscreen? Do you get enough sleep, are you well hydrated, have you lost a lot of weight, are you generally happy or depressed? There might be other factors that could contribute, so maybe a little more info would be helpful.

Yes but do you have any experiences on going off the product?
I stopped using it as I looked waxy in photos and my cheeks were over puffed.
No, I have the same healthy lifestyle, I always wear sunscreen.
I am in my late twenties, I take good care of myself and am in good mental health.
The difference is drastic from a year ago, and I am incredibly upset.
I didnt realise 120 pills could do so much damage... |

It seems that when they stop using they do notice a slight decline in the look of their skin and hair, but not to the effect you are describing.
Also there's another article that I had ran into reporting bloating as a side effect of too much Biosil. Maybe that is why your cheeks looked over-puffed in photos. Maybe start using it again, but not every day? |

This would make sense, like with any product that provides results once you stop using it you lose the result.
I agree the OP's result is extreme, especially in such a short period of time. |

You could even have bad side effects from taking one or two pills of anything- you never know.
That has happened to mebefore with Gravol, antibiotics, some natural things.
Some people might react to something when others do not.
This is just a general statement.... |

| I have used it for years with no bad effects, it has helped to keep my hair strong, I dont have as much mair falling out when I use it,my skin looks good. It has gotten excellent reviews on iherb.com.I use the drops, not the pills |

Ottawa Shopper - Were the side effects permanent? What happened to you?
I just really need some light shed on whats happening to my body. I wish I had never taken this product. |

| You only took this product for two months so it's a little difficult to see how it could do permanent damage in such a short time (you can't really even grow much collagen in two months). It's possible that it caused you to retain water and that's what resulted in the puffiness that you saw (and liked). It's also possible that it caused some inflamation - another source of puffiness, but certainly not a permanent problem. Maybe it's time to consult a doctor or dermatologist to alleviate your fears. |
