Hi. I am a guy that needs a little help. I recently shaved my head because I had very little left. I don't like having a shiny top. Is there a good product you can recommend that will give the skin on the top of my head a duller look. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hi Jay,
Heh I think you're after a 'matte' finish as opposed to a 'dull' finish I know that there are quite a lot of mattifying products out there, but these are generally marketed for the face. My impression is that the scalp is a naturally oily area and that there probably isn't much you can do. You could try a mattifying product though and see how you go. If not, then there is always.... powder (of the translucent type, or just talcum podwer perhaps??). People won't be able to tell that you have powder on anyway.

Why not try a toner on your head? Decelor Mattifying Lotion ought to do the trick! If your scalp is particularly shiny, perhaps a shine-control product such as Peter Thomas Roth Oil-Control Blotting Sheets.
Now that your dome is smooth, please do not forget to wear your sunblock every day! This is an area of the body that men do not often consider, until their scalp is lobster-red. A good sunblock for the area: PTR Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Sunblock. |
