I am so tired of it. After i wash my hair the second day i feel the need to itch. I have tried a lot of different shampos for dandruff, even oiling it etc. nothing works.
Btw also if u can share what are your favorite shampoo, hair products. I have coarse, thick wavy hair.
I like Redkens All soft and its Butter treat. Recently I swtiched to Bed Head's Moisture Mania. It seem to be pretty good (except that the dandruff returns) |

I just use average price hair stuff cos nothing seems to get rid of the scalp itch. When it gets really bad though, I massage warm olive oil into the roots and that helps for a while. Oddly, when I colour my hair, the scalp and condition improves a lot as well |

| I suffer from this condition and my sister does also. My sister went to the doctor and he told her she was probably allergic to some of the ingredients in shampoos and to use baby shampoo and prescribed her a lotion to put on her scalp. She hasn't had any problems since this regimine. I find if I use a shampoo with alot of fragrance, I tend to get itchy also. I don't think its your run of the mill dandruff, cause I've used every dandruff shampoo out there to no avail...I'm thinking its more of a dermatitis of the scalp but only your doctor or derm could help you out diagnosing your condition. My sis also only washes her hair every second day but I can't stand doing that cause my roots get kinda oily, I haven't tried the baby shampoo yet but I am tempted too also! Hope this helps you!! |

well thanx for the replies. have you guys ever heard about apple cider vineger reducing or removing the dandruff. Someone told me the other day, and said that if u use it for few weeks, right before the shower or even leaving it for hours it really works and leave u completely dandruff less. Well, errr i tried it and it seem to help with the itch. I hope i am not damaging my hair more.
When i color my hair they seem to become drier and itchy...maybe i dont condition them properly . |
