Hi Patty. I only have the BQ, so maybe I have no good sense giving any input here, but since you mention "48 minutes," I'm thinking that is total, includes both passes. (blue and red). I know with the BQ, the face is divided into 6 areas, and I do 4 minutes each area on the first pass, and then (if I chose to do so) I would do another setting for an additional 24 minutes. So, that would total 48 minutes. Are you doing one section at a time, for 4 minutes? |

Patty:
I only have Quasar SP not the Blue one but from what you said, this is the calculation I had:
1 pass Blue, 4 min each section: 4 min * 6 section = 24 min
1 pass Red, 2 (4) min each section : 2 (4) min * 6 section = 12 (24)min
Spot tretment, 4 min each section : 4 min * 6 = 24 min
24 + 12 (24) + 24 = 60 (72) min
Are you sure spot treatment 4 min for each section or 4 min for the whole face?? If 4 min for the whole face then 24 + 24 + 4 = 52 min. |

I'm not sure but I think that's what James said. About covering 6 sections, I can't cover the entire face in 6 sections if I'm overlapping each move. Can you? Even without overlapping, the light end is not big enough to make just 6 sections. I've got to go back and look at the drawing of the divided face. Hey guys, just because I'm thinking this may be impractical to use in a business setting, doesn't mean that I'm implying that the Quasar doesn't work. I haven't used it long enough to know if it works for acne. I believe you all. I meant to use it today (Left eye more hooded than right) but I took so much time with Keli, I ran out of time and just wanted to go home. Shoot!! I want this to be practical.
Thanks for your help. |

Patty,
The treatment of each section takes only 4 min. You suppose to overlap the area of each section during these 4 minutes. So, it means that you will have to stay in one place/spot for about 35 seconds and then slide the head of Quasar SP (overlapping) in the same section for another 35 seconds. It should not take more then 4 minutes per section.
Also, I believe, the entire spot treatment (for all 6 sections) should take only 4 minutes.
According to this, the entire treatment should only take 52 minutes, just as MACrisis said.
Just a thought, are you keeping Quasar SP's head for 4 minutes without moving it, and only after 4 minutes you are sliding it (overlaping) to the next area? |

Yes, I believe what Doba and MAC said is exactly what I had read. 52 minutes for entire treatment. Doba said it so clearly it jogged my memory. Good luck. |

Do you guys know this from looking at the chart of the divided face? Before I divulge any more info, please tell me you know this from the diagram.

Never mind. I just found my instruction manual and if I had read this in the first place, I wouldn't have had to ask those questions. Don't I feel stupid. In my defense, I'm doing this on the QT so I had pushed the manual under a stack of mail to read later and then couldn't remember where I put it. Bless your heart Mac. She sent a private email trying to explain to me again how to use this gadget. So sweet!!! The rest of you guys are too. Thank you so much for your patience. I hope I can be of help to you one day.

Patty, i know your insecurance (is that a word ? I'm Dutch living in the USA) I bought in the last 2 days a quasar SP and a Nuface, and yes THAT makes you wonder .... at least all i could find on QUASAR was positive unlike the other product you mentioned. And sure they claim for the quasar a no quarantee back claim, that should 'ease' your mind, otherwise sue them. Also the statement that the product is made in the USA, meaning whatever happens( my husband is a lawyer) you have all the USA law for you. But according all the raves, i'm very positive. |

Wow!! Both machines in only 2 days. See, that's my dream . I am stil saving for BQ however (no chance in h... i'd ever be able to purchse QSP). I do hope to save for NuFace as well (hopefully by the next summer).
