Would you mind explaining to me the purpose of blow-drying your lips? ! |
haha ... uh, actually, I have no idea. Seriously, she doesn't say 'why'. I just assumed it dried/set the product.
It doesn't feel bad though. It's actually quite nice since I am always cold. My only issue is that you have to do it for 90 seconds. That's a lot longer than you realize. |

it's good for the biceps not only do you get plump lips, but also nicely defined arms as a bonus. and everyone knows there's a synergy between arms and lips. use the left one to blow dry if you want fuller lower lips; the right if you're aching to plump up the top. (alternating nights is a good way to keep things symmetrical.) |

that's FANTASTIC! Now all I need is to integrate applying skin cream at the same time with the left hand. |

i have never heard that expression before, but .
saying that, i would never blow dry my lips, it's weird, sounds almost as crazy as blow drying your eye balls (no offense ). |

That, plus my allergies has me reduced to using prescription Restasis for my eye balls. |

Carekate kindly included some samples in a custom purchase parcel she sent me.
First thing I did was to try this lip balm. Absolutely love it! The Dulce Vita shade is just perfect for me - would probably suit most people too, I reckon. There's a really nice texture that softens and smooths my lips, but doesn't feel at all greasy. Also, the colour goes on incredibly evenly, with no balling up or patchiness whatsoever.
I'll definitely be buying this from Carrie in the New Year! |

I recently ordered Carekates lip plumper - can't wait to try it! I love her scrub and the lush lip balms already.(Although my favourite product of hers is the Lash serum that I was lucky enough to be sent to try its fabby!!)
Will post again when I have tried it.

FYI - there’s a new Lush Lips shade available in both the ‘regular’ and ‘plumping’ balm varieties:
• Blushing Nude - a warm, pinky nude that is very similar to MAC’s Viva Glam V lipstick (thanks Marla!!).
My next mission is to create a clear version of the plumping balm which should be available by the end of the week.
After that, I’ve had multiple requests for “browns” and “raisin” shades but I need someone to submit color “swatches” (i.e.: piece of white paper with a lipstick mark drawn on it or “kiss” a piece of white paper while wearing a heavy coat of the lipstick shade in question) or suggest brand/shades I should check out at Sephora or a local dept store (note: I do NOT have a MAC counter handy so please don’t recommend anything of theirs!)....
TIA,
Carrie |

Hi Patrice,
My lashes used to be long but recently got a little sparse (due to stress) but they've always been extremely fair so only really the roots visible when un-mascara'd or tinted. I also developed a little gap.
Since using the Lash serum they have got back they original length and certainly don't look so sparse - this in turn has made them less 'invisible'. I would say that my lashes are nearer how they were when I was a child before I started tinting/using makeup etc. I have tried several other lash serums in the past which did improve the condition but that was all.
Unfortunately due to the things causing aforementioned stress I never got around to taking before and after pics - but I know I'm not imagining it as even my mother noticed my lashes looked better (she hadn't seen me for about a month!)

I couldn't find the previous thread with all the colours stated so I decide to put this here. I just received my package today so I wanted to give more detailed descriptions of the colours:
Sunrise Pink - this is quite bright, I got this as part of my trio. Carekate also included a sample of this in my package but for some reason the sample is WAY brighter than the one in my trio and less sheer. I did some swatches to compare each colour on my hand and tried it on my lips. I can't use the one in the sample but the one in my trio is pretty - a girly bright pink - it's not heavily pigmented so I'd have to say it's between a light to medium shade depending on how much you put on.
Coral Kiss - I got this as part of my trio mistaking it for Apricot Glow (I got the names mixed up) and amazingly I prefer this over the Apricot Glow which I thought suited me more from the descriptions in the other thread. Coral Kiss to me is a sheer coral, or more specifically, a sheer PEACHY PINK. It also looks a bit bright but less so compared to Sunrise Pink. For those who loves peach tones would probably like this a lot.
Apricot Glow - This doesn't work very well for my lips. My lips are pretty pigmented and I find a lot of colours don't work well mixed with my original lip colour which is VERY close to MAC's Cremestick Liner in Beurre. Anyways, this is really much more apricot than Coral Kiss and I found it more pigmented. With "apricot" I mean that it's a lot warmer than Coral Kiss. Apricot Glow is an orange with a hint of brown (I'm bad at describing colours so bare with me) while Coral Kiss has pink tones in it. Apricot Glow is also less bright but appears way too orange on my lips for my liking.
YLBB - this is the PERFECT shade for my lips and also the last shade in my trio. It looks rosy/mauvish in the pan but this is the sheerest of them all. My favorite out of all the colours and the one I'm most likely to repurchase. Definitely lives up to the name and the perfect shade for an everyday look.
Dulce Vita - I got this sample in my previous order but since I'm talking about the colours I might as well give this a go too. This has more red/brown tones and is definitely another YLBB type of colour. This is similar in brightness to the Apricot Glow but Apricot Glow is orange and this is nudish red. I think this is wearable for everyone but for some reason my lips REALLY enhances the red in this and ends up looking brighter and redder on me than in the pan. So I can't wear this everyday but I still like it even though my skintone doesn't go well with red tones. |

thanks for the detailed description of the colors sormuimui. I had no idea she had some of the colors you mentioned. does YLBB stand for anything? i always thought the other members were referencing their skin tone like on MUA which i never understood. |

hi carrie - i was just wondering if you've made the clear plumping balm yet? i love the colors but my absolute fave is still the overnight treatment and it would be great if that could have plumping qualities too! |
