Is the Strivectin all a big joke?

I got a sample of it from new-raves.com and it feels pretty greasy. Does this stuff really work? From what I've read, it's not as great as the Strivectin Company makes it out to be. Sad

I think it depends on your skin type and what you are looking for in a product. It has significant "slip" and does have a pretty strong menthol/peppermint scent which can be a little much if you get too near the eyes with it. My skin is quite dry so overall, so I quite liked it --I noticed a significant smoothing of my skin - especially around my eyes -- but it doesn't have argireline - which is so hot right now....If you are interested in a similar product that is scentless and much lighter in texture, I would suggest Dermaglow NuVectin -- (a recent knock-off) it has the added benefit of argirelene (yay!) and is less costly (6 oz. $120 Canadian). I must say, however, that I am leaning towards the "Winnie-way" feeling quite mesmerized by the Janson-Beckett stuff...I think I'm going to have to try it!

I used it and really found that it turned my skin around...nothing has had the dramatic results I got with it since! I found it wasn't moisturising enough though and I also got bored with it cos I'm a total tart about face creams Confused
I'd defo recommend it or simelar products like olay regenerist ...anything with palmatyl pentapeptine basically. combined with agireline? sounds good to me! let us know how you get on with it!

I'd have to echo guapagirl's comments....I was totally prepared for disappointment when I bought StriVectin, but after approx. two months of using it I saw impressive results in my skin....firmer, definitely fewer fine lines around my eyes and forehead. But I too am a "tart" when it comes to skin creams, and although I've still got about a month's supply of StriVectin left, I've purchased the NuVectin that Pudoodles referred to and have been experimenting with it. I haven't used it long enough now to be able to judge it against the StriVectin, but in a month or two I'll post a review of this product.

Personally, I prefer the texture of Strivectin -- but for someone who wants something lighter in texture the NuVectin is certainly worth a crack....For me, the NuVectin alone is not enough - definitely need something over top... Scent aside, I found the Strivectin pretty impressive - and an excellent base for make-up during Canadian winters!
