I can't tell you offhand the exact percentage, as it was at least 2 years since I used these sunscreens. I stopped using them, however, because the amounts were negligible. Moreover, they were not stable sunscreens, which is the more important factor.
If I search around my computer, I probably can find the info. I'll do it when I have a chance and then I'll PM you if you'd like. |
Cristaline, which sunscreen do you recommend? What do you think of La Roche Posay? Or Vichy Kid Sunblock? |

Hi TheresaL,
Did you ever end up using the sunkiller?
the ingredient list does contain a lot of chemicals it seems but the formulation is just so lovely, that I can't break away from it just yet. I guess when i run out, i am gonna try to find a more pure sunscreen but i have a feeling it won't be easy to find one i like.

Hi Kristen,
No I haven't gotten around to using the Sunkiller and I haven't even had the chance to really take a look at the ingredients. I have been using the Sofina sunscreens (Perfect Lucent and Rise Cut UV Milk) as my everyday susnscreens and like them so much that I am reluctant to switch!

cristaline I would appreciate it if you would also post the information here if you find it. I would be interested in taking a look. Can you clarify what you mean by not stable. I assume that you mean photostable. Also, which active ingredients do you feel are not photostable? Offhand I see the Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate as being one ingredient that is not photostable. Do you see others? Like I said previously I haven't had the chance to really analyze this sunscreen so I would appreciate any information you have. |

I also LOVE the Sunkiller Skintone! As time goes on, I think that I like it more than my beloved Sofina Lucent (I know that I like Sunkiller's price much better!). It's an excellent sunscreen, especially for oily skinned gals. |

I bought this, too, but still like the whitening water better because it is like water and it is so easy to use. LOL The skintone is not bad but it's just thicker, and to me, harder to apply. Neither one is greasy, which is great. |

I finally got my Sunkiller Super Block. I absolutely luv everything about it except that the shade is a bit too dark and yellowish on me Anyways, the texture reminds me of Smashbox Foundation Primer. It seems to make my pores smaller and keep me non oily throughout the day. I find it a bit drying but I didn't put any moisturizer underneath though. Just wondering if u r suppose to put this around the eyes too?
Other than the color, I'm very happy with the ss. sigh...I should have get the Clearwater one instead but I thought the color might be fine on me. If anyone can switch with me, that would be awesome!! hehe |

Stardusty, I don't think you're supposed to put it around the eyes. I agree that the skintone is a bit drying. I got both the skintone and clearwater. The first one I bought was whitening water. My sis got me the clearwater one from Thailand. |

bbkgirl, well I was thinking that my eyes need the sun protection too .... Perhaps I need a more moisturizing eye cream underneath? |

I just revisited the Bobodave website, and ordered two bottles of the Sunkiller Clear Water Milk from the Bobodave website, and the total charges (including a 6% handling fee for using Paypal -- Bobodave doesn't take credit cards) was $25.80.
Can't wait to try it! |

Bobodave takes credit cards. They charged my Visa as well as the 6% too....
Btw, Ebay is selling it too for $12....I just saw it.... |

Bobodave doesn't charge shipping on the Sunkiller, so it's probably less expensive to order from there than eBay, unless the shipping charge is less than 90 cents.
If you go to the website, Bobodave doesn't offer a credit card option. They may have just changed this, but I just ordered from them yesterday, and there's no credit card option now. If you are in Hong Kong, you can do a cash or bank transfer. Otherwise, international customers are offered Paypal only (and of course, you may ultimately use your credit card to pay through Paypal).
So far I'm pleasantly surprised by the Bobodave site -- I don't know why I why I was leery of it initially -- maybe that the totals are all in Hong Kong dollars. But not only did I immediately receive a confirmation email, but I received a second email with a tracking number today, so I'm really pleased so far. |

I was so tempted by this! I am little concerned that it is the first transaction of that seller though and also the listing doesn't mention (well, unless I missed it which is definitely possible) whether it is New and Sealed. Thanks for the link though! |

I used to not like the Skintone as much as the Clearwater or Whitening Water one, but now I'm liking it a lot more. The Skintone provides a nice coverage, and it doesn't make my face shiny. I will repurchase. |
