Which one would you get, and why?
I am sorry if this is something that might have already been discussed. I am new in this forum and at skincare (to my shame, I know) and I have read some of the prior posts on the subject. Lots of them, and lots of good info.. LOTS!
But if you were to advise someone, which one, in short, would you say is the best? I am talking in terms of results, rather than economical deal.
Thank you!!! |

Dr. Roller...it has a cross-linked needle pattern that ensures deeper penetration when you roll. And at the end of the day, that's what it is all about!
Plus, EDS members have never reported any issues with a Dr. Roller, unlike cheaper models (bent or loose needles, etc.).
If you decide to by one, check out the Discounted Dermarollers thread...we have a couple of suppliers that provide discounts for EDS members. |

Yes, it seems like most women on EDS have been happy with Dr Roller. It's of high quality. Dr Roller is cheaper on Ebay, but I bought mine from Nova Clinic atwww.dermarollers.com. |

I, too, have used the dermaroller from Dr. Roller. I have no complaints with it. |

Leaf & Rusher is a Dr. Roller with .15 needles. |

How do you determine what size needles to buy on a dermaroller? |

I would start by reading the Dermarolling articles on the link below...there is a lot more to dermarolling than people realize, such as the required topicals (vit A and C) for optimal collagen generation, disinfection, etc.
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?p=401487#401487
At a minimum I would also read the last 10-20 pages of the dermaroller support thread...I recently posted all the details of my last roll.

And you decide to take the plunge, here is a thread on discounted dermarollers for EDS members. I personally recommend getting a 1mm or 1.5mm regular roller, and a 3Line roller if you need to focus on your eyes.

BTW, who those who may be reading...dermarolling is NOT for young skin, unless you are specifically tackling more permanent acne scars. |

After reading the entire (!) dermaroller thread - I think I've finally figured out what will work for me...
I currently have the 0.5mm - but after reading all the posts, I think that the 1.5mm will address the issues I'm trying to tackle. (Namely fine wrinkles and pigmentation) I'll probably go for the Dr. Roller that Jack sells...
Since I'm a wimp I'm definitely going to have to get the Tridocaine cream!!
I'd be interested to see what results everyone else gets from their dermarolling... |

I am personally no longer a fan of using them for product penetration...they caused way too much inflammation for me to be used several times a week.
If you do go that route, I would not go longer than .15mm (which is only the Leaf & Rusher roller at this point) and you should not use it more than 2-3x a week max. Even that will increase your epidermal thickness by 30% or so in 2-3 months per Dr. Liebl.
But if you are prone to inflammation or irritation, please think carefully about trying this...it is not for everyone. |
