yes, now i can't buy many expensives as before. I want to buy many products such as valmont and chantecaille, but now they are sleeping in my wishing list. And I began to look for some cheaper products. |

i try to watch my spending and only buy things that i really need. For example, I don't buy a cleanser until I'm almost out of the old one. Slowly using up the stuff i've accumulated too. I"m a skincare hoarder. (sometimes i think i'm an idiot.. to hoard to skincare)
however, i do splurge once in a while cos the sales are amazingly good this year. things that used to be at most 20% off would be a good 50% off.
overall, i think i end up spending more which is NOT what i want. |

I used to get Fotofacial a few times a year, and I have sort of let that go. I space out my hair colour to 8 weeks instead of 6, and I go to a separate (cheaper) stylist to cut my hair. She just sprays it, doesn't shampoo, and I bring in my own dryer to blow dry it. I actually save $100 each time!
I would give up food before I'd let go of Botox. |

I make my own C serums now. I use jojoba and OCM method for cleansing (no more buying expensive cleansing), salicylic acid (aspirin masks) - no more expensive masks., retinoic acid from All Day Chemist in INdia. I do not fill, no botox.... (I want both of them badly) and I clean my own teeth also - and no more expensive bleaching - I make my own.
I do facial exercises - to tone and maintain results. |

Sounds good sistersweets. I am moving that way but still have a lot of products on the shelf - probably enough to ride out the recession.
BTW what's OCM? |

Thanks for the chuckle Lucyluc, that's a riot!!
Obviously the recession hasn't curbed my spending. I just had botox done and my first treatment of laser hair removal. Just having my legs done and it was only $740 for 6 treatments. I thought that was very reasonable. Then I went to Macy's and couldn't pass up a new "on sale" handbag and of course had to go to all the other departments and pig out. I'll start cutting back tomorrow. |
