bordnfl2,
Hey I think it's great for those lucky enough to use them without any side effects! I am not concerned about the iris change as mine are so dark brown they are almost black! I have such sensitive eyes I just found after reading a lot of issues some have had and possible side effects on the web I better not risk it for me! I almost caved, actually ordered Lumigan, it's sitting in sealed boxes since August! I believe we need to know our own sensitivities and proceed on that basis. I am thrilled to find something that works beautifully for me, with my crazy eyes!

Darkmoon, I understand about the eye thing and we've talked it about it before while I was under doctor care for my left eye for 2 months and nothing he gave me made it feel better.
Anyway, I guess what I also like about the Rapidlash is that it is a gel consistency and I have never got it in my eye so I guess that's good. I have gotten the KGF in my eye and it's not a good thing for sure. Burns like @#$%@.
Anyway, I am not so good at taking pictures of my lashes and I don't want to ask hubby but I will try to take some. They look much fuller, longer and curlier. The only problem, if you want to call it that, it my lashes tend to curl in a weird direction. I have to straighten them out with mascara. Also, I have to use a really thin mascara these days otherwise the lashes look odd. |

bordnfl2,
I understand, the lashes growing in odd directions seems to be one of the side effects with the prostaglandans or the analogues! I guess it is a mild one considering side effects SOME people reported! The NOTH is not runny also more of a gel constitancy so I've never managed to get in my eyes! I never tried the KGF one so can't comment! Just call
me chicken! LOL |

Yes, you have to be really careful, Darkmoon.
I waited until my eye issue cleared up before I tried the Rapidlash. Boy, that sure was a long few months of running back and forth to see the Specialist and to this day, no one knows what was causing the eye pain. Every now and then, I get it again.
Did you order the Lumigan from alldaychemist? |

I never had eye pain, that sounds miserable! Glad it's gone now!
I ordered from united pharmacies online, they carry both the brand name and generic, I purchased the actual Lumigan brand and still have them (2 bottles) sitting in sealed boxes, I'm not going to use them, that was an impulse purchase! I read of so many reactions I just decided not to risk it! I am sure I would end up with red irritated eyes!

If you would like to find a new home for the Lumigan, please send me a PM if that is allowed. If this is against board policy, please let me know and I'll correct my behavior.
Off to the store - have a great day. |

Call me crazy but lately I have seen pics. and videos on youtube of people using eyelash growth products that have crazy and unnatural looking eyelashes. Eye lashes that are long and spidery or thick and long but going in all kinds of crazy directions. I think these people have gotten so caught up in making their eye lashes long that they do not care how bad it looks. Just like too much makeup, too much eyelash growth looks bad. My husband and daughter have naturally very long and thick eyelashes that curl ever so slightly and their eye lashes are not going in weird directions nor are they unruly. Moderation and looking natural is the key to beauty! Darkmoon: I had no idea that protaglandans were responsible for the unruly lashes! You are so full of knowledge! |

Starlight,
I'm not about to call you crazy! I feel the same way, natural enhancement works in my mind. I have read of people having hair pop up on their cheeks and eyelids and having to pluck those OUCH! Massive shedding, long but spindley lashes, darkened lids, red irritated eyes, wild growth pattern of lashes ect. I will be happy with the less dramatic yet safe added growth and condition!
I just researched like mad, before I use anything on my face especially that close to
my eyes I want facts! No different than what I choose to consume!
Thanks! I know some don't care for the studies, and think the analogue is very different, but it can be the difference of just a molecule or two! That's too close for comfort in my book, and the side effects reported with products containing the analogue are the same as Latisse by the makers of Lumigan!

Considering old people use Latisse for their glaucoma, I wonder why I've never seen them tripping over their eyelashes or brushing them away when eating soup.
I wonder if they are doing trials to see how Latisse compares to minoxidil for hair loss. They'd have to make it much cheaper for it to be competitive.
Dark Moon, my trigger finger is on my credit card and I'm about to buy the NOTH stuff but two more questions, s'il vous plait:
1. How long does the little vial last considering you apply AM and PM?
2. When you apply AM, do you just wait a couple of minutes for it to dry before applying eye liner?
You should think about contacting NOTH and asking for points toward a future purchase or a discount for all the people you've referred to them. It never hurts to ask, so go for it! |

SoftSkin,
Don't laugh but I have read of people actually trimming their lashes with Lumigan ect.
I think I have been using my serum about 6 weeks now and have over 3/4 left but I haven't been using it regularly in the am yet, too busy! When I do it is well dried/absorbed before makeup application (actually quite quickly) and doesn't interfere with eyeliner, mascara or any eye makeup at all!
I am happy to just order my products, I can't imagine needing any more than 3 bottles a year! BTW It comes with a great eyeliner type brush for application.

Okay, you talked me into it!
Why is it that men seem to have the most beautiful lush and long eyelashes naturally? Is it because testosterone generally controls hair growth?
Years ago, when I worked in TV, I got to see some stars very close up while chatting (stars chat like normal people! ) and I can tell you that Jay Leno has thick, dark, long lashes and the most gorgeous sky blue eyes that must have rivaled Paul Newman's. George Clooney has long, dark, thick eyelashes, too. I think William Devane might be another one, but that was about twenty years ago and I don't remember too clearly. I really don't think there are any female stars known for their eyelashes. Eyes, yes. |

Well that is another unfair trick
of genetics! Males are geneticly prone to what they reffer to as a double fringe, basically they have an extra layer of lashes! I think that and never using mascara, lash curlers and the like they are in a win win when it comes to lashes!
Let's steal them! LOL

I ordered it and in the Special Instructions section put:
I was referred by "Dark Moon" on the EDS Skin Care boards.
If some of you gals are ordering based on her recommendation, why not? Good eyelash karma! |

LOL
You are sweet, I don't expect any special treatment, then my recommendation would be considered biased! I just do my best to share what works and doesn't for me! But thanks for the thought! I hope you have the same great results I am seeing! Enjoy! I know you will be suprized just how fast the shipping is and the CS is great!
