I have been considering doing some party plan on the side of my job. The company I am looking at sells sterling silver jewellery for women and stainless steel jewellery for men.
I was just wondering if other people have done party plan as a way to make money and if you have any comments about it. I would like both positive and negative feed back. It does not matter what you sold, just what your experience was or is. Also feel free to comment if you have not done this but have ideas or comments about what your experience is as a hostess, what worked and what didn't.
Some things that I am interested for others to share are:
- Was it worth your time. Essentially did you make as much money as you thought you would given the effort that you gave it?
- Once you exhausted family and friends for parties did you find it hard to find other people to host a party? Did you overcome this and how?
- Any tips for hosting a great party, increasing sales and getting others to host a party.
- If you have tried it and gave up what was the reason?
- If you are successful at it why do you think this is?
Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
