I live in Bloor West Village and I can't seem to find any shoe repair shop. I have nice shoe collection, and there is no need to have so many shoes, and keep the old ones, but I love them a lot. It appears to me that shoe repair shops is practically nonexistent!
Can anyone help me find one? |

Hi Skincare. It is not in your area but at Davisville and Yonge, on the north west corner beside the Tim Hortons, there is a nice shoe repair shop. I had some work done there and thought he was a very nice man and did good work. HTH |

Thank you harriet! I really want to try and find one more in my area fist.
There is one by Bay subway station, but I dread to carry my old shoes there. |

i'm smack downtown... and i agree... its difficult to find a real shoe repair store and even real tailors. i just kinda put everything on the back burner... my high end shoes are tucked away, and my ball gowns are sealed up. i can't seem to find a she repair downtown, whereas if i go to the east side, there were a few. i was in the car, so i had to take a quick glimpse of it. also for tailors... downtown they've all been replaced with dry cleaners quick-fix tailors that are not real tailors.
skincare, i'm not familar with the west village area, but did you ask around at the bakery/and other local store? |

No, not really, because some said that they don't live in the area. I have a tailer and she is great. |

you're lucky. i had a real tailor in brampton... he was super cool... trained old school... has his certificates from his country (i forgot where) and then another one from the UK. he was a real pro. there's something that can be said for old fashion training and years of experience.
i tried using some of my clothes designer friends to do some alterations and such... but its not the same. |

I don't understand why so many shoe repair shops are not as available as it used to be. |
